Former base. Implies abandoned/unused ?  Sounds like either deliberate arson, kids doing something daft, or vagrants letting a fire get out of control.  (But I'm probably wrong.)

 

Who was this "member of the public" ?

 

Strange professional firefighters were lost and injured though.

The fire broke out a motoring and aviation site in Oxfordshire, called Bicester Motion.

The facility is located on the site of RAF Bicester, a former bomber station. Now, however, the area operates as a business park.

The historic site is home to dozens of businesses, most of which specialise in classic car restoration and engineering.

More than 50 businesses operate from the location.

Thankfully its rare, but if its a restoration business there will be no end of inflamables and gas bottles.  Explosions were heard.
