Firstly it takes an age to process claims for asylum - meanwhile thousands more are still pouring in unchallenged - and secondly, what are they processing once claims have been rejected?
More hot air from this impotent, duplicitous man.
More nonsense in there than truth, hymie and gulliver. How could we have sent them back to the first country they applied to for asylum when they deliberately travel without papers? And given that for some reason they generally leave North Africa or wherever with the aim of coming to Britain, why would they have applied elsewhere enroute? And if they had had asylum denied somewhere in the EU why are they still in the EU and free to wander round the French beaches waiting for a dinghy?
Were we returning all the dinghy travellers back to France pre Brexit Hymie?
According to that video France wants to fix the fact that there;s no returns policy. So why don't they? Because they prefer to wave them on their way.
Does anyone know what would happen if someone flew or got the Eurostar from Paris to London then destroyed their passport/ID papers and claimed asylum at London? Would they be returned to France ( I think they would) or would we have to put them up in a hotel and let them wander round while their asylum application is considered?
the uk is swamped with illegals waiting processing and more arriving, like pushing the tide back with a broom, as was said two tier is was a human rights lawyer and due process is the defacto, and not your broke in your not getting processed but returned, regardless of the country your from, and no i don't care if it's war torn, go fight for your country then...
They can be sent back to France
\\ Asylum seekers can be returned to their country of origin if it is determined they are not in danger and their lives are not at risk. The principle of non-refoulement, enshrined in the 1951 Refugee Convention, protects individuals from being returned to a country where they face a real risk of persecution or serious harm.//
France is safe..
“If only we were still members of the EU, under the Dublin Agreement we could send them back to the first safe country they entered, or where they had previously applied for asylum.”
No we couldn’t.
The Dublin Agreement was not worth the paper it was written on. In the last few years of its operation in the UK far more migrants were transferred from the EU into the UK than were transferred out under it. It wasn’t a migrant return agreement at all. All of the migrants the UK received under its rules had never set foot in the country so they could not have been “returned” here. It was a migrant distribution scheme which the UK did very poorly out of in its latter years. It is highly likely that the UK would have withdrawn from the agreement anyway even if had remained in the EU.
I’ve published the details many times before on here (and will do so again if you dispute my claims).

Indeed webbo. But the UN unilaterally declared that Article 31 of their Convention did not actually mean what it said. Instead of disputing that decision, the signatories meekly submitted to it – aided and abetted by Human Rights lawyers like Mr Starmer.
There is no way Mr Starmer's proposals will happen and I repeat for the 94th time - the only way to deal with illegal migration is to prevent the migrants from landing here. Worrying what to do about them after they have arrived will never work.
