For some reason I thought he was Jewish   Nope, but he was black when he was a boy.

We all make mistakes, as the dalek said climbing off of the dustbin.

But some seem to make many more than others.

But given his excess wealth from the BBC etc., I doubt he'll be worried.

I must say, I hadn't heard of that one myself. Big noses, bags of money, all the usual antisemitic tropes but not rats. So I will take note too.

For some reason I thought he was Jewish

I noticed he had a reference to Putins war against Ukraine.Judging by his comments,it seems he has a preference for Putins mob.Its a wonder he wasnt at the MayDay event in Moscow recently, maybe he was.

What has he said to make you believe he supports Russia?

When he referenced Putins war when questioned about the Beebs impartiality.(But anyway this answer will just be removed,so i dont know why im answering you.)

The BBC need to just pay him off and be rid.

That they dont rather lends to the line of thought that some there approve of what he writes.

Lineker said the BBC, "wasn't impartial about Ukraine and Russia".

How does that show a preference for Russia?

"Remain relevant"?!  Good one.

Because why reference Putins war in the first place? What the hell has that to do with the Hamas war against the Jews?

He features in a popular BBC series and was questioning the need to be impartial regarding Israel and Gaza when at the same time, the BBC is partial toward Ukraine.

Why is that unreasonable?

For some reason I thought he was Jewish

Nope, but he was black when he was a boy.

His area of expertise is football. his knowledge on other matters is no more "expert" than the rest of us so his views are totally unimportant and irrelevant.

Whatever next, Rooney's views on grandmothers ?

It's a disgrace that the BBC have employed & kow-towed to Lineker for as long as they have.

The man really should have learned his lesson with ill thought out tweets by now.

as an ex footballer I doubt if he's the sharpest tool in the box...

OK Corbyloon if it's not unreasonable tell us on what basis Russia should be supported by the BBC as much as Ukraine? Do you see it as a 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other situation? All you ever do on here is ask picky questions but I've never seen you answer any from your own mind.

He's a Mod Prudie, so is allowed to get away with it 😊

> Lineker said the BBC, "wasn't impartial about Ukraine and Russia".

"Wasn't impartial", i.e. was partial.  Lineker supported Ukraine. The BBC did not make a song and dance about that.  So Lineker asked why, when he also "wasn't impartial about Gaza and Israel", the BBC did make a song and dance about that one.

PRUDIE, is Gary Lineker not allowed to express his personal opinions on current affairs?

Do his opinions on the conflict between Israel and Hamas affect his suitability to present a sports programme?

Are folk swayed by his opinions on this subject because he is on the BBC?

Do the same folk believe the BBC endorses his opinions?
