Should have been given the George Cross if you ask me. How is it GM? He was cleared FGS! Sounds like the trobiscites running the force are determined to hound this bloke. He rid us of low life gangster scum, rejoice.

says to me don't join the police or the military, you may end up in court, totally bonkers legal system that errs on the side of criminals, we hear it all the time.. serve the nation you may end up in jail..

What was the 'gross misconduct'?

Gross misconduct implies that he did not follow procedures  that are in place to protect him, his colleagues and the general public.

We don't have all the information to enable us to see what they see.

I know what it implies - I'd just like to know what it was.

I have a feeling if he's found guilty and sacked, the Met won't have any firearm officers to call on.

The level of proof needed to be found guilty of a criminal offence is much higher than an accusation of misconduct and each investigation will have looked at different aspects of actions or inactions.

DDIL, or it could be a kangaroo court..

DDIL: "Gross misconduct implies that he did not follow procedures  that are in place to protect him, his colleagues and the general public." - so what is the procedure when a mad gangster is using his car to ram anyone and everyone? I think jump on the bonnet and shoot the b'stard was pretty damn good. Perhaps he should have tried to engage him in frank discussion! What a joke. I dunno why any plods agree to be armed police after this

the silence from DDIL is deafening.

I read your comment, you were making a statement not asking me a question.

i have not given my thoughts on the case as to do so without any evidence would be unhelpful.

your answer at 14:22 doubted procedures were followed. I contend that procedures in theory are one thing but when a madman is trying to kill you with a car, then you do what the officer did. End of.

Read 1.3.2 of the code of practice on armed policing and police use of less lethal weapons.

No it didn't, Naomi asked what the gross misconduct was and I am was explaining was gross misconduct was.

End of!
