She went outside to investigate a police helicopter overhead in her Brooklyn neighbourhood.

She was kicked, spat upon, and threatened with rape.

Animosity either spirals one way or the other. Every incident loses trust and drives each to opposite corners.

 

Hopefully one day the spiral might be upwards, and tolerance, even acceptance and trust, might be on the increase. Not today though.
