The Pope's Funeral
250,000 people bid farewell to pontiff who said 'build bridges, not walls'

I read this morning something else he said. 'Scotch whisky is the real holy water'. A pope with a sense of humour - and good taste. RIP.

it is the victims of his church who deserve to be remembered, not him. he sought and accepted the office of pope, and so the responsibilities of the church rested on his shoulders. he chose not to meet them.
i'm not interested in bridges with a person like that. i'm glad he's dead.
thousands of children raped in pennsylvania. francis did nothing.
countless numbers of children raped in chile. francis had some very strong words against... the victims.

pope francis was all mouth and no trousers. he begged for forgiveness and admitted errors of judgement... and then did exactly the same thing all over again. he didn't just fail, he abdicated responsibility.
he was a creep. a nasty, mealy-mouthed, squirming little creep who meant scarcely anything that came out of his mouth and disguised atrocities with polite words. his sole achievement was to make life just a little bit easier for priests who rape children. nobody should be singing this man's praises... they should be dragging his body through the street.
"Did you never learn that you NEVER speak Ill of the dead."
i was taught that yes. i consider it utterly stupid. some people make the world worse and deserve to have ill things said about them when they are alive and when they are dead. pope francis was one such person, as is just about everyone who attains the title of pope.
if francis wanted people to speak fondly of him when he died then he ought to have put in more work to help the victims of his horrible church and change that organisation's behaviour. he did no such thing and i despised him for it when he was alive. my opinion hasn't changed.
