Mad Ed won't be happy, his solar farms won't work with no sunshine.

Pie in the sky, actually actual pies might work better than the crackpot ideas here!

What a load of old pony, dim the sun? My April! So they are going to dim the thing that is 99.9% the mass of the solar system, a huge fusion reactor, 1.4m km for £50m? Right oh!

Nonsense. Do they mean us ?

Didnt Mr Burns dim the sun in the Simpsons? 🤣

yeah but he's got the dimmer switch YMB!

Talking of dimmer, anyone heard from Lammy recently?

Last I heard of him was news that he had declined o atend some meeting about Ukraine. Apparently all the important people had blown it out. I don't know why that should have affected him.

Is that real? Marie Antionette won the nobel prize for physics? PMSL! ...this is a minister?

Palace of Versailles a prison! Right oh!

Don't know why my post was zapped

me neither brainiac.

Nice work if you can get it.

I suppose the majority of the work will be done at night to save on protective clothing costs. 😎

^^^^No silly  - they'll be wearing white clothing , which will reflect the heat .

Dim the sun? This isnt a late April Fools Day joke is it.Up here in Scotland we want them to make the sun a lot brighter,a lot hotter.Last year must have been the coldest on record.

A bit like the Irish astronauts who tried to land on the sun, when they were asked if it wouldnt be to hot for them they replied-"begorrah,no,we're going at night-time".

Lot of fuss over nowt.

They'll test their theory on a small area, realise it ain't doing enough, and that it'd be expensive, then shelve it.

As for solar energy panels, if we dim the sun's energy a bit it'd still get enough to continue to add a financially questionable amount for use.
