Trump is saying he can't wait to meet his very best friend King Charles.

Question Author

Trump is now bragging that he is the very first American president to have made two State visits to the UK . That's twice to many.

Sorry to butt in, but I don't think King Charles had much say in the matter. It was Sir Keir who invited Trump to meet the King remember. So are you saying Sir Keir has lost it?

Not so long ago Trump was the 'pin up' boy on here .

Trump suggests UK state visit set for September

Like a painful aunt who has an open invitation that is hopefully never taken up on ...

Keir Starmer issued the invitation.  Once issued it canot be revoked, perhaps it might have been wiser to wait a while before issuing it. Starmer represents the government, which represents the people, and in that position the King is bound to accept that as Head of State he must host the visit.

The royal family has had to host many, many foreign powers and some of them must have stuck in their craw........ but it's their jpb, position, call it what you will, to do it.  The late queen had to shake the hand of a man who helped to murder one of her relatives!

Starmer couldn't wait to issue that invitation and, grinning like sycophantic imbecile, he did it for the world's media to record.

Prime ministers (government ) from whatever hue ,have issued invitations to US presidents for  state visits .

A Tory gov would have done the same at the time .

Hindsight is a wonderful thing

NMA 18.46 .Wrong ..Sir Keir was only delivering King Charles invitation to the Orange Man.  It's a great pity Starmer didn't lose it on the way.

Taken from this,https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2003/nov/18/monarchy.usa

Although the Queen is formally the host, she has no final control over whom she invites on a state visit: this is up to the government. In consultation with the palace and the Foreign Office, Downing Street issues, in effect, two such invitations every year.

Substitute king for queen.

Wonder what sort of reception the orange idiot will receive from the British Public.. Has his visit to Scotland been cancelled ???

Humouring a malignant narcissist.

I think both Charles and Starmer must be nauseated by firstly having to issue the invite, and the prospect of having to host him at some point.

Unfortunately they both have to do what they think is best for the country. It's their job.

Has King Charles Lost It. ? Jeff Taylor definitely thinks he has;

gulliver1, 21:46. Wrong again.

gulliver 21.46.  That's all Starmer is fit for, delivering letters!

The Orange man says he doesnt know how this visit to the UK can be any bigger than the last one, and his  next visit will be even bigger and more important.......That's if Humpty Trumpty hasn't fallen of his wall by then.Don't think all the Kings horses and all the Kings men could ever put the fat slob together again.🤣

Didnt Charles meet in with a old paedophile apologist(allegedly) in the Vatican not that long ago?Lets hope that Charles and Camilla have washed their hands since then.

TDR.

I wonder if Trump will walk in front of Charles as he did with the Queen.
