It does indeed look like a "pursuit and containment operation. Gone wrong? We won't know for a while yet though. Plod will hunker down and keep stum. If it was a foiled terrrorist , possibly utilising explosives or guns, then any amount of damage to police motors is acceptable. The second car is the conundrum. Was it somehow caught up in the catch, or ran into it? Was the vehicle trying avoid capture perhaps using an innocent motorist as cover? The insurance will be a mare for someone to unravel.

Northumbria Police said officers attempted to stop the BMW in the Whickham area of Gateshead at about 02:00 over "concerns about the manner it was being driven".

It might have been one or other in the BMW tweeting hurty words about the fake"refugees"in the UK.I cant think any other reason for having five cop cars chasing them.
