All very well but who would replace him, someone even worse?

dave50 is right, who would step in and be more agreeable to the West's requirements? It seems to be in the Russians' nature to be firm, hard-faced, equally brutal to their own people as to the peoples of other countries.

One can hope he will be deposed, but not hold one's breath.

Latest seems to be that he's increased the max age for conscripts and calling up more for the meat grinder (while continuing to claim they won't be sent on his 'special military war, err... I mean operation'.

Any replacement would do well to consider the country's economy and growing concern for the slaughter of it's youth. A new leader is in the position of the proverbial new broom that can sweep clean.

Russia will continue their aggressive sabotage and harmful acts. Who can really stop feudals in power?

Who can really stop Russian feudal class of the society who just buying villages and earths on the Portugal, England, South France...(In all sweet desirable places) ten times in a row, because it's eternal circle of sanctional confiscation of property? I personally know one corrupted bureaucrat of my town who proud of that he bought the same cottage near Cannes, which was taken away from him for the connection to Russian criminals. Nothing can stop any of the leaders who would change Put** on his position while very natural principle is that grown ass males able earn to kill random people to provide milk and meat for own children...

I doubt if there is anyone worse than this deranged psychopath, and as is pointed out, it was the predecessors of these mothers and wives of slaughtered-for-nothing young men who fuelled the withdrawal of Russian troops from Afghanistan.

Putin may have surrounded himself with sycophantic yes men but would anyone wish to prolong this ultimately doomed fantasy project of "removing Nazis from Ukraine" ?

//while very natural principle is that grown ass males able earn to kill random people to provide milk and meat for own children...//

What on earth do you mean, landF?

not many people knew who gorbachev was before he got into power. let's hope there is someone like that.

scorpiojo,

I meant:

while very natural principle is that grown ass males able to earn by killing random people for need of providing by the milk and meat their own children...

I don't care who might replace him I just hope the evil BS dies soon!

Untitled,

//"many people knew"//,

I think we could also praise negotiators from the Union, who have attention to the collapse of the *ssr. The greatest negotiator whom i can remind is "Scranton Joe" on his ratification of Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty of 1988.

Fingers crossed. I don't think anyone that replaced him could be worse.

The worst case scenario would be that they were about the same.

He will leave one day, either from illness or being deposed. Let us hope the Russian people eventually turn on him.
