Well done that young man and he doesn't even want to be named. A credit to the country don't you think?

well done that man.

"The Mayor of Amsterdam has given a “hero’s medal” to an English tourist who chased a knifeman through busy alleys and pinned him to the ground, bringing an end to his rampage."

Again, well done that man !!

It looked as if he had cable ties.  Must have been a boy scout.

Brave man.

Not all heroes wear capes. Good man.

looks like he knows what he's doing. probably an off duty plod or ex forces.

Well done to him indeed.

What else did he have in his utility belt I wonder?

Brave man.

If he did have cable ties, I'm wondering what their main purpose was, surely not in apprehending a suspected criminal?

Alba:-   I carry a foil hypothermia blanket in my ruck sack.  I haven't been further than Tesco for months.

he would probably get arrested here, and the knifer given compensation..

We've had a few 'have a go heroes' that have been awarded for detaining criminals.  Some have been awarded cash by the trial judge, others have received commendations.  Rightly so, too
