Haha...and the trip isn't until next week! Even funnier is the fact that the invitation to visit was sent by an American

Maybe should have sent an add Vance guard to firm up invitations before turning up to represent the addled liar.

groannnnn

Interesting comments on the news that the US already has the right to set up new defence bases on Greenland and that Trump's real motive might be to extract minerals from previously inhospitable areas.

Jesus!

Not sure religion will offer any practical solutions.

I suspect she is the advance guard.

If a nation decides to burn it's friendly relationships, slinging them on the bonfire, and to plunder a small country of it's resources as payment for helping them out when attacked, and to collude with one of the world's aggressive tyrannies because they'd rather appear to take a stern line with a third; then one can't expect any welcome if opting to visit a country they are actively threatening.

Bleeding daft idea.

No -  no  - following the threats to me  yesterday - I agree with the enforrced AB orthodox view that this can only bolster the strength of the european powers and can only mean good for Nuuk

Forward - make armerica great again!  Hurrah!

( the above is not to non-sensical is it> It is after all AB)

What is being forgotten here is that both China and Russia are interested in the place.  It's not just minerals but very strategic for defence.

I thought the visit was going rather well - they havent been shooting at her ( excuse sexond amendment right)

Greenland is already part of a superpower - Europe/NATO - unless you think NATO is dead and Europe on its own is less of a superpower than Russia ...

Yes Greenland does, via an extension of Denmark but what is happeneing is that other countries are offering to buy it, not necesarily invade it.  Remember China in particular has form on quietly muscling in on  Countryn and then all is lost as they stack up their debts and they cant be paid off.

All I am saying is the Greenland thing is not clear cut.  Thinking it is would be very dangerous.

Haha...and the trip isn't until next week! Even funnier is the fact that the invitation to visit was sent by an American....🤣😂

The words some use implies purchase is only one option.  It's quiet clear what is being threatened.

If Denmark decides to sell, the UK has first option. Maybe the rest of Europe would contribute to our "fund me".

Took them a couple of days to find someone who would say they invited her and all they could find was an American, I wonder if he was offered anything for this? Was there a deal made?

Nothing like being publicly humiliated and on a global scale.

I'm wondering also, alba...makes it look all innocent doesn't it?

It does, Pasta. However, I  bet "they" think they'll be able to get away with that excuse for a while.  People are not stupid and they don't take kindly to being insulted or bullied.

Her team doing door to door to try and find people to talk to is so humilating!

Now that JD is going, I wonder if folks will change their minds.

Not a chance in hell you say??

I hope Greenlanders double down and tell eyeliner boy to naff off.

If the Vances were wanting to see a dog sled race, they should have gone to Nome for the Iditarrod, but that's already part of the USA.

I hope that the residents of Greenland ignore them.
