I would love to see Boris make a return to front line politics - the Conservatives need a real leader - but in a way I hope he doesn't because firstly we're feeling the pain of what happened when the Conservative vote was split at the last election, and secondly I wouldn't trust the Conservatives to support him as they should.  Their appalling disloyalty has caused this country untold damage so better to allow Reform a clear run next time rather than split the vote further - which is what would happen.

Might even tidy him up a bit and use him as a decoy.

   I would have him back, he was wrongly pushed out last time. There is a malaise with politics at the moment and a strong charcter like Boris is needed to do some proper sensible work.

i cannot see johnson carrying out a merger with reform... he and farage hate and mistrust each other. plus johnson has made a big thing of his support for ukraine which many in reform now oppose. his objective would be to come for their lunch i think... but he is the only tory who might have a chance of doing that
