Why wont someone in the government see sense and stop cutting our own throats for no benefit? We cannot possibly make any difference to world emmissions now, let alone after the US starts it's drill drill drill policy, plus stopping the end of ICE cars. madness but we still continue to hang ourselves with this clueless clown running it.

Will ONE of the biggest be ok NJ?

China really? Yes really a gigafactory in Shanghai. I didnt mention spares or chargers you added that for some reason?

Lol, this is what happens when you get triggered nicebloke and fly-off into an outrageous wobbler!

I think you could do with a little help too. You seem to spend most of the day looking where you can dive in with some crappy remark. Bless

“Will ONE of the biggest be ok NJ?”

No, not really. It isn’t in the top 12. I don’t actually know where it stands, but in my view, being outside the top 12 does not make it one of the biggest.

“Yes really a gigafactory in Shanghai.”

But they are not based in China, which is what you claimed. They have one vehicle plant (employing about 15% of their workforce) and one charger factory there.

“ I didnt mention spares or chargers you added that for some reason?”

I added it because it is part of their business. The spares go towards making the cars and enabling them to be maintained and the chargers are for their exclusive network, enablingtthe cars to be used.

But the long and the short of it is not only are they not based in China (as you suggested) but they have only a relatively small presence there.

It doesn’t really matter where Tesla are based and I don’t know why you mentioned it in the same breath as disparaging Mr Musk. But you obviously used it in an attempt to somehow discredit him and if so, you need to get it right.

If nicebloke1 had any self-awareness he'd be embarrassed by the demolition of his made up 'facts' by NJ, but as he doesn't he won't be.

Milliband is an ideological green zealot who cares nothing for what is in the UK's best interest energy-wise. The sooner the ukulele-fiddling spiv is ousted the better.

So they are NOT in China but, they have a plant there? So they are there but not there, they are in Shanghai but not in China, because Shanghai is not in China, but they are not based in China. Ok I get?

^ 18:28 Wed 22nd - good grief, another bizarre deranged tantrum? Get a grip!

18.24 And if you had taken the time to read my post @ 10.34 instead of coughing up blood, you would have seen that I agreed that green policies are a load of cobblers. I see jumping jack flash has come forth yet again with a crappy remark. :0)

Even if he doesn't want to listen to Trump, he should check the weather.

We had to rely on foreigners to keep our lights on today, his wind and solar could only produce just over 1% of our needs.

Green energy superpower in action.

6.42 - and you'd have realised I was making two separate points.

Comprehension really isn't one of your strong points is it.

Nothing in my post is made up, green policies are cobblers. And Musk has a gigafactory in Shanghai. Check it out, and maybe stop being so self righteous.

"Musk has got the biggest motor manufacturer in the world..."

"The ukulele-fiddling spiv" I love the description Deskdiary!

Strap banner on Talk radio, "Miliband warns Trump, Net Zero is unstopable"

Er, it is stopable, The Donald has stopped it.

The lack of sun and wind stopped it today, alba.

True clone (cracker of a name!), too much wind is forecast for this weekend which means no wind powered gubbins again. Man is pointless and clueless.

"The lack of sun and wind stopped it today, alba."

Indeed. Wind currently 3%. For most of the day it was less than 1%. Solar peaked at about 5%, being Nil until about 9:30am and reducing to Nil  again by soon after 4pm.

All that has cost £200bn and Miliband is planning on spending four times as much again on the same rubbish.

No doubt on Friday when there is a bit of wind about, the wind machines will have to be turned off in case they catch fire.

renewable energy is more secure and cheaper than fossil fuels. it's also an emerging field of technology where the uk has real capacity to lead.

trump can say whatever he wants... fossil fuels are not the future.

And the months enter on their mighty march.
Under thy guidance, whatso tracks remain
Of our old wickedness, once done away,
Shall free the earth from never-ceasing fear.
He shall receive the life of gods, and see
Heroes with gods commingling, and himself
Be seen of them, and with his father's worth
Reign o'er a world at peace. For thee, O boy,
First shall the earth, untilled, pour freely forth
Her childish gifts, the gadding ivy-spray
With foxglove and Egyptian bean-flower mixed,
And laughing-eyed acanthus. Of themselves,
Untended, will the she-goats then bring home
Their udders swollen with milk, while flocks afield
Shall of the monstrous lion have no fear.
Thy very cradle shall pour forth for thee
Caressing flowers. The serpent too shall die,

did I notice a parallel with the Golden Age speech of Trump? Yes I did actually - Virgil's Messianic Eclogue IV

no one else has

"renewable energy is more secure and cheaper than fossil fuels."

They were not more secure today - they were virtually non existent, as they have been for lengthy periods during this winter.

As for being cheaper, that is simply not true. I'll produce some figures tomorrow.
