Trump inauguration moved inside because it's a bit cold.

Or is it really because they're scared of another assassination attempt ?

Oh. I thought they meant he'd caught a cold.

Maybe it was in his feet ?

Isn't it always very cold this time of year?

It's probably more to do with security. Who can blame them?

From the link, the temperature high for the day is forecast to be -5 degrees C. That would seem a valid reason for moving indoors.

Yes, fair enough.

But, t.b.h. it would also be fair enough if they feared an assassination attempt.

Heading off general disruptions I think. Ie protests of various kinds and the inevitable reciprocal violence, poor crowd turnout, embarrassing chanting and flag waving from right wingers.

All of which much more easily controllable if the event is moved inside.

It might be because of Joe's Amendment 29 that he might just enact on a whim?

' free pot shots at Trump twith no consequences'

Joe doesn't need to enact anything clone.

The supreme court has already allowed it  - obviously with Trump in mind but Biden's still got a bit of time to do whatever the chuff he wants with impunity.

Times change - last year he said how he was going to fire all the fed judges who werent for him

and yesterday - ( free speech) declared that court judgements should be followed

(Note the hacks say he can say that such and such a judgment is not to be followed - whereas we we got rid of all that crap after the Declaration of Indugence where the courts ruled 1685 hat the kings cd NOT over rule law)

the president seems to have a say in whether it goes forward or not. Which in dear old Blighty we just dont have. or the hacks are talking out of their foo-foos again

Perhaps it is for security reasons but whatever the reason it's a fuss over nothing.

outside the, attenders can number up to 40 000

and inside 400 + a dog

it is all to do with spectacle  and the emperor is anointed in front of the peope

( Mary Beard ( no! no!) most asked question is " which emperor does Trump most resemble?"  ( Heliogabalus)

He might be thinking of President Harrison who caught a cold at his inauguration and was dead within a month.

I doubt many of the 40,000 would get much of a view. They can all watch on big screens.

who would want to be sat or standing outside in -5 or worse for erm how long? a lot of older folks certainly would not, put it down to security if you want, i put it down to freezing knackers.
