The arrest appears to have come about due to the 'paedophile hunters' where the set him up to communicate with a 15 year old boy that does not exist.

in the eyes of the law (I know you won't agree) 15 years old takes the child over 'the paedophile' age group.

I would also await the lawful investigation to see if there is any actual evidence other than that provided by a vigilante group.
