Charlotte Owen, a former special adviser in Boris's former Conservative govt was appointed to the HOL in Boris's resignation honours list. But no one knows Why. ? Both her appointment and that of another Adviser Ross Kempell are now being questioned.

Also let me ask you this: before July were firms going bust? were people losing their jobs? Were tax rises forecast along with increase in interest rates? Was illegal crossing as high as they are now? Was the pound plummeting? All of these disasters have been bought about by the most incompetent Government this country has ever had.

By the way she is not the youngest elective peer - 1801 The Oirish House of Lords dissolved itself ( last act was the Apothecaries Act I think) and were allowed to elect a cohort of Irish Peers to London. ( Other Irish peers were given UK titles)

and so after the glorious war of independence, someone said "hoopla, the election is overseen by the LC of Ireland - who is just about to become a plain mister"

and so they intentionally elected a 15 y old ( obit a few year ago)

The postings at 14.39 & 14.43 have proved you wrong about me derailing your post. You do say that this is something I always do, another false statement and any evidence of my doing so should be provided. What I am trying to do is to get you to discuss things that are happening in 2025 and not ancient history. If you live abroad, as you suggest, you have no idea of the strain that the ordinary person is undergoing in this country to survive under this really terrible government. And before you mention me voting for Johnson, perhaps I should remind you of my previous posts where I have pointed out that until 2021 I had been a Labour man all my adult life.
