Starmer gets torn a new one as usual. How long is he going to keep trying to blame the Tories for his "black hole"? It's like a broken record. I can trace £21.6bn of it for him. £11.6bn to foreigners for "climate change" and £9bn to doctors and train drivers. There is of course a supermassive black hole in the making with the huge public sector pay demands coming soon. Surrendered to the unions now they want the spoils. Labour is going to hurt!

'£11.6bn to foreigners for "climate change"'

That was pledged previously by the Tories for the period 2021/22 to 2025/26 and Labour will honour it.

The Tories have always borrowed more money than Labour and repaid less. The Tories are the party of big deficit spending. That's why they left the Labour party such a huge debt to pay back.Must say though it's good to see the Tories on the opposition benches and Labour on the Govt Benches.

Shame he didn't honour the winter fuel allowance he pledged not to get rid of before he came to power.  Big rises for his union mates but where is this money coming from or will he continue to say the £22 billion black hole is to blame.  If the economy is in such a state how can he afford these big rises and where is the money coming from to pay them?

Several times recently Mr Starmer referred to Mr Sunak as Prime Minister.  I don't think he's got the hang of this yet.

FREEDOM!!!!

....and the boats keep coming!

I watched PMQ and Starmer reminded me so much of Gulliver.

Never answer a question and always blame someone else.

This may help explain it. There's some good aspects for renters but often these things have unintended consequences. It may put off some current landlords from staying in the business and may deter potential landlords. It may also encourage some bad tenants to push things as far as they can.

gramps, you may be on to something there, is Gully the PM?

Yes Saintpeter.  They've not said much about that.

The missing link  before someone reminds me (hi gulliver)

14:17 wrong thread?

newmodarmy, maybe gulliver can answer that one about landlords staying in the business as he has often claimed to be one and his beloved labour party are going to make things more difficult for them.

The amount of times Starmer has been "torn a new one" at PMQs over the last few years it makes you wonder how terrible the Tories must've been in power to let such a loser in.

//14:17 wrong thread?//

Yes, twice. AB is jumping around for me on screen,

Now in the right thread I think

Please change your avatar to something less morbid.

Plus 500 million to Tata Steel.

THESHEDMAN, "Shame he didn't honour the winter fuel allowance he pledged not to get rid of before he came to power."

When did he make that pledge?
