The voters in America will once again have to make a choice. It will not be influenced by the narcissist rage of a few wannabe opinion brokers on an obscure website in a foreign Country. They will have to choose between a candidate with a brash and and guileless personality who has America's best interests, and therefor theirs, at heart and as the core of his...

It seems that the only problem khandro and youngmafbog have with the January 6th rioters is that they did not succeed in their mission...

... oh well. At least it annoys the left. Not like they believe in anything else is it?
I think it concerns all right-thinking (as well as left-thinking) people that Trump has so undermined trust in democracy in the US.
No wonder the Kremlin was wetting itself when he won in 2016. The list of dubious Russian financial contacts Trump has been tangled up in is large. There is no suggestion he really had much of a clue he was being played, but there's "compromat" all over the place.
"And don't fall for all that Democrat baloney about him instigating riots"

Are you familiar with Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony before the Jan 6 Committee?

The problem is …….. he’s talking, must be for the hard of understanding who can’t read and understand the ongoing investigation re January 6th .

Appearing as a surprise witness during the sixth hearings, Ms Hutchinson said Mr Trump personally knew that members of the crowd at his morning rally near the White House were armed, because they were being turned away by Secret Service officers.
"I don't [expletive] care that they have weapons. They're not here to hurt me," Ms Hutchinson said she heard the president say. "Let my people in. They can march to the Capitol from here."
Her testimony offered the committee something they had been seeking to establish from the very beginning of proceedings - that Mr Trump allegedly knew there was a very real threat of violence and did nothing to stop it.

I’ll have just a half of whatever Khandro is on, it’s clearly potent.

Mr Trump remains an utterly divisive figure on here, as more or less anywhere else in the world, and is supporters and detractors will continue to post their views, and refuse to be moved from them.

I think America may find itself in the same situation in its election that it did when it was Trump/Clinton - a massive groundswell of support for someone who actually knows very little about anything, except how to get people on his side.

Add to that the thinking voters who voted for Trump because they wanted Clinton less, and you have a victory.

I can see exactly that scenario playing out again, and Trump winning an election (to go with the one he didn't actually lose of course!)

Then God help us all ...

er this is not a private forum, perhaps you should be using somethnig secure like instagram or facebook for private comment

I take all these posts as 'urbi et orbe'
as a Roman connoisseur, you will realised that is, 'to the city and to the world - ' using a rare case called locative.

what does autocues have to do with anything?
Answer: it is counted a great thing to speak without notes ( or autocue). Problem is, if you have been subjected to this, is the obvious gaffes,
Princess David, ( Reagan )
Coffiffee ( Trump)
Trump derides protections for immigrants from 'shiithole republics!

to name but a few

(a) wasnt a mistake. OK. thanks for the clarification
// and Trump winning an election (to go with the one he didn't actually lose of course!)//

he will pardon everyone including himself,

and further screw around with the Constitution ( more than he has done already that is!) - such as make all Fed employees holding office at the Presidents pleasure. ( he can fire them at will)

amid cries of oh oh we didnt expect him to do THAT
Don't forget that more Americans voted for Clinton than for Trump Andy...

I know it's not how their system works but it is worth remembering. Most of them saw right through him!
The Republicans have only won the popular vote in the US once since 1988 as it happens.

Yes I think (an even bigger) majority of the electorate has rumbled "the Donald" now. Outvoted popularly in two successive elections I am sure must have happened before ...
... Adlai Stevenson ...
The USA is awful - but I like it!
It is a load of tosh more or less from start to finish.
Because he is suggesting that it's all the fault of the current administration.
The world is threatened with energy blackmail and starvation, there's ethnic cleansing and genocide in Europe, and he apparently has nothing to say about any of it.
He's dangerous.
Anyone still finding anything admirable about Trump at this stage must be seriously deluded.

So much so, that they are beyond reason.

I'm not prepared to enter a discussion on the rights & wrongs of bearing arms in the US, but nearly half of the residents of Washington own weapons & it is an 'open-carry state', which means that an individual can openly carry a firearm in many public areas.

How Donald Trump is supposed to know who is bearing arms at any given time & what he can do about it, beats me.

Nothing in this investigation so far has shown actual proof of his culpability, but mention his name on AB & get the instant mob of Judges, Jurors & executioners braying for the kill.

Khandro

You’ve clearly not followed any of the investigation thus far nor read any of the links, have you?
kahdro , are you thinking about washington state? DC is not a state, plus you can't open-carry there

Are the over 74 million Americans who voted for Trump all "deluded" ?

and I know quite a few pretty smart people among them.
"Nothing in this investigation so far has shown actual proof of his culpability,"

You're believing what you want to believe khandro... either that or you're just being dishonest.

He was watching it on TV while it happened and refused to do anything to stop it for three hours despite being pleaded to by members of his administration and even his own daughter.... several witnesses have said that he was in favour of Pence being hanged... he edited his speech - by hand - specifically to remove a line saying that the protestors did not represent him or his movement.

during his speech beforehand he told them to go to the capitol peacefully but also told them to "fight like hell" and encouraged the entry of armoured paramilitary groups into the ... who were known to be attending by White House officials including Trump for days beforehand.

Trump whipped up the crowd and was in favour of what they were doing... he even wanted to lead it himself but his security detail prevented it.

He was in favour of what they were doing. He wanted it... to a large extent he - or his people - seem to have engineered it.
