That one landed, Gromit. :-)
//Ymb,
Are you related to Will Quince?//

Well as he has resigned as a point of honour after being misled I'd be more than happy to be related.
Yes ... on his own nose. :o)
Ymb,
// Ah, so a new Chancellor has been appointed. [Yesterday under a blaze of publicity]. Rather makes you look like a racist now Gromit. //

Now you are sounding like Boris.
An apology for getting your facts wrong, which isn’t an apology at all :-)
You still sound like a racist.

I didnt make an apology.
// Forced migration might be necessary, if only to deter another refugee from becoming Chancellor in the future. //

Twas meant to be a lighthearted aside. But this is AB :-)
We want to deport tens of thousands of refugees to Rwanda, in the same week a former refugee to this country has become Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Luckily for him, Roy Jenkins was at the Home Office in 1976, not Priti Patel.
Those to be sent to Rwanda are ILLEGAL.

As far as I know our Chancellor came here LEGALLY and quite rightly has been allowed to work and prosper here.
Gromit, you're making a twit of yourself.
Naomi, you are back.
I missed you. Have you been studying at atlas ?
Carry on.

From where im looking this scheme is just another one of this governments hare-brained ideas(that are well intentioned at the time),but are quietly shelved and never heard of again.
Gromit, we know - but this is about Rwanda and Sumak was in office until yesterday. This is silly.
We all make mistake :-)

Any more mention of the crazy Rwanda scheme by any of the leading contenders for the Tories leadership position. As far as i can tell not one of them has mentioned it.Another wacky scheme that us poor taxpayers have to pay for and never gets off the ground.
Those who disagree with this scheme have yet to offer any alternative suggestions.

Perhaps by giving these immigrants some kind of employment, dave. It doesnt mean to be brain surgery or nuclear science. At present we are paying these people just to laze about detention centres and b&b hotels.

I common with any campaigning politician, they are keeping well away from anything controversial and making any and all wild promises that they think will get them elected.

They'll worry about the detail - making their promises actually come true - after the election, when either it won't matter because they didn't win, or they can brush over them and move on, because that's how politics works.
