Don’t you know there’s a strike on? Polling Stations don’t close until 22.00.
Most will probably go at the end of the working day I’d imagine, you’ll get your eagerly awaited results soon enough.

It's illegal to publish or give a forecast based upon an exit poll before voting has ended.

News coverage is always light on an election day.
Campaigning is over.
Voters vote.
That's the way it should be.

Rubbish at all previous elections or by-elections they have had almost continuous reporting during the day - there's not even been a photo of a dog outside a polling station! Maybe they don't want to admit they think Boris might just surprise people and get more support than they would like.
