Yeah, I remember the ‘humour’ and puzzlement with which the media reported the first case of Covid in this country too.

According to the BBC scientists say the virus came from someone who was vaccinated abroad with a vaccine that hasn’t been used in this country since 2004.
The 3 Countries "referenced" that administer the oral(crucial this) live vaccine rather than the injected and inactivated shot are Pakistan, Nigeria, and Afghanistan. I am busy trying to work out the connection ... again.
The illness is mainly passed on due to poor hand hygiene( bathroom habits?) and less commonly, through coughing and sneezing. Kebab anyone?

yup - ish I have looked v carefully to see if it is wild-type ( the hacks are so ig they wont know). It is cultured vaccine
which means a kid who has been vaccinated with an 'old' version ( live vaccine) has poo-ed down a bog

We were declared clear a few years ago. I've no doubt that either this won't result in an issue, or if it does, is soon contained and eradicated. Meanwhile it seems there is value in testing folk from still infected regions, maybe.

It just shows that "eradication" can be a misleading term.
As long as people resist the vaccine sceptics we should be largely ok
