Why have you put the name David Buttress in quotation marks?
Oh, and the actual tweet was...............

“Never confuse an expensive education with intelligence or integrity, I don’t think Boris is particularly blessed with either"
Question Author
16.40 Because I knew it would confuse you.
It didn't confuse me. I just wondered what strange thought process had led you to doing it.
Question Author
16.44 I don't read the Sun newspaper like you do Zacs,
What makes you think I'm a Sun reader, Gulli?

I'm not, just for the record.
If I was choosing a quiz team I would pick Boris before Gulliver as I would want intelligent players on my team.
Mr Johnson, what is your specialist subject ?
BJ: Peppa Pig World :-)
I wonder how many other unintelligent people could get a 2.1 in Classics at Oxford.
He certainly lacks integrity, but for all his faults bungling Boris is not unintelligent. Note for example the cunning ways he keeps his fawning fan-base onside.

On the other hand, surely we have to question the intelligence of one who joins a club whose activities include ritually having sex with raw meat, and regularly trashing public premises.
Prudie, a 2.1 is not a good degree; it's only one up from a Desmond. I got a 2.1.
I don't think Johnson's problem is what degree he managed to get, it's his moral outlook. As I mentioned on another thread, he has many of the Harry Flashman qualities without the physical courage, ramrod back, dashing whiskers, and self awareness of his own lack of any sense of shame or decency.
I also went to university at a time when it meant something. A 2.1 is one below a first and in my day was considered a very good degree. A minimum requirement for those who wanted to read for a masters. He can maybe be accused of many faults and failings if one was looking but being unintelligent is not one of þhem.
Boris’s intelligence aside – in my experience, having a degree is no guide to a person’s intelligence. I’ve met loads of people who have a degree, who have *** for brains.
Boris did say that there was no tree in the UK more than 200 years old.
I would guess that by the age of less than 10 years old, I could have advised Boris that he was talking nonsense.
yup agree
good enough
actually quite accurate
wd you buy a second hand car from this man?
Gulliver pontificates on education and intelligence. :o)
Question Author
23.38. P/P. I would have more faith in buying a car from Arthur Daley than Boris Johnson.
Question Author
09.25 Never Think that Naomi has Intelligence or Integrity, Because like Boris she has neither.
ZM: "I just wondered what strange thought process had led you to doing it. " - now zacs, spot the flaw in that sentence.
