If it wasn't such a big deal, why has it taken 32 years for a current professional to 'come out'? As i said, i think it very brave of him to do this at the beginning of what could be a long career.

Whilst it may be true that he was about to be outed by one of the red tops, he could've taken the route of taking out an injection (cough cough Ryan Giggs), but instead to took over the narrative.

Because of the demographic of the AnswerBank it's very likely that few *will* care. But if this were a site aimed at teens or twenty-somethings I think the responses would be much more supportive and there would be more who care about the story.

That's not a judgement - just an observation. The young tend to be more liberal.
