The SNP has again finished as the biggest party in the Scottish council elections - with Labour finishing second after the Conservatives suffered big losses.

Enough said.

Yes I'm sad for the Scots, hypnotised by the nationalists.
can't blame them - who else represents the interests of the previously labour voting scottish electorate? certainly not the labour metropolitan elite, whose leadership all live within a 10mn bus ride of Islington Town Hall.
Who cares? Only Labour, which can't win without Scottish seats. Six million people in Scotland, roughly ten per cent of UK population. There are more people in London. The media plays the SNP's game by giving them so much attention.

You're right OG, Dundee had an SNP council and we've still got one thank goodness. Nicola is in Dundee today celebrating with the newly elected councillors. She will be travelling round the whole of Scotland to celebrate SNPs great wins.
I see the SNP want to join forces with SinnFein/IRA.All i can say it will be over my dead body.Joining in with a bunch of murderous scum barstads.Dont the SNP realise the IRA were responsible for the murder of hundreds(if not thousand) of Scottish innocents.Bastrads.
Sinn Fein have slightly modernised which is why a lot more young are voting for them however those young will not vote for an united Ireland
Aye,right.Leopards never change their spots. These SinnFein/IRA scum are probably sitting on the sidelines waiting till they can kill more innocents. As i said bastrads.
You have to wonder if the Conservative and Unionist Party, and its supporters, gives a flying fig about the union ...
At least they or a Labour Party government wont concede any divisive referendums on any sheeite about a so called united Ireland or a divided UK.And well done them.
“In a number of wards the Alba vote came in at over 5%, but the instruction from the SNP leadership not to use preferences to support other independence candidates now condemns most Scottish councils to control by unionists."

'Following instructions' in a passive electoral system i.e. carefully policed( MSM + the establishment ) and rigidly culturally 'norm'-alised democratic circus; the castrated charade many engage with every 'duty-bound', infrequent, Voting Day, hoping that ¤massive effort¤ of civic duty will bring about what they have been told to believe by whichever Party.

"All registered electors (British citizens and all other foreign nationals with leave to remain, including refugees) who are aged 16 or over on polling day are entitled to vote in the local elections. A person who has two homes (such as a university student who has a term-time address and lives at home during holidays) can register to vote at both addresses as long as they are not in the same electoral area, and can vote in the local elections for the two different local councils." wikipedia/2022_Scottish_local_elections
.... The turnout, according to the Electoral Management Board for Scotland, was 43.73%.
Ynna. You are a crazy man….
Are there any mods on site . ?
Ynnafymmi, "I see the SNP want to join forces with SinnFein/IRA.All i can say it will be over my dead body."

It is a case of "My enemy's enemy etc" in that both parties want to be outwith the United Kingdom rather than the SNP condoning the historic actions of Sinn Féin and the various iterations of the IRA.

As a matter of interest, how would it be over your dead body? What actions would you take to prevent any co-operation between the two parties?
"Ynna. You are a crazy man"

As was pointed out to me recently, she's a woman.
Yes, she is a quine.
Nah,to many of us Scots have been murdered by SinnFein/IRA for any union to be feasible. It would be like spitting on the graves of all the Scottish victims of SinnFein/IRA.Wont happen.
