Yeah, well done Carrie:-J
Is he telling porkies again. :)
More inefficient monstrosities

Where in the article do you think that Boris is being untruthful?
Just one more 'insatiable desire' of the great man.

He needs to lay off the cheese before bed.
Base the budget on the lowest income of the two.
Boris had a dream. OMG.
He would do better dreaming of a magic money tree to solve the country’s dire financial situation.
floating, eh? Let's hope it doesn't float across any of those non-existent borders in the Irish Sea.
I’m turning into a fan of the PM what with one thing and another (turning a blind eye to the refugee application issues)
It’s certainly the best idea he’s yet had for the Irish Sea from a not very impressive set of others.
Was that idea written on the back of the same envelope as his plan to link Scotland and Ulster via a bridge or tunnel?
Progress.
He has stopped dreaming of vanity bridges that never get built and has turned to building a floating island instead.
There are already 35 offshore wind farms in the UK, and a further 5 under construction. So not exactly ground breaking stuff from Boris.

There is no indiction from the report how big ‘colossal’ is? Is it bigger than the 4 farms being constructed on Doggerbank.

Worth remember that the push to renewable energy started with Blair who introduced financial support for solar, onshore turbines and home insulation.
The Conservatives have ended all those subsidies to encourage more alternative energy, and from being world leaders, we have started to lag behind.
FYI
The UK already has floating wind turbines.

The less we rely on russia or saudisfor energy the better
Boris wants it in a year? Watch this space.
Like daft bridges, he wants someone else to pay for it, and it won’t happen.
We won’t get a colossal array of floating turbines, we will get half a dozen, without Government incentives.
I'm with EON who, despite telling me that I get 100% renewable electricity, have seen fit to double my price per unit and quintuple my daily standing charge. Seems like the price of wind and sun has gone up same as everything else.
Let's come back to this thread in a year, and see if we have:
(a) a colossal wind farm
(b) a partly built wind farm
(c) nothing
To be fair, he said it was his dream. He didn't say he was going make it happen.

(He was probably lying it being his dream though).
he can always put Joanna Lumley in charge of construction. Cost of the non-existent garden bridge: £43 million in public money. And don't get me started on the Boris Island airport. (One result of which was that he blocked Crossrail from stopping at London City Airport, which actually exists and has actual passengers wanting to get to central London.)
