The question is above..... why not, surely they have access to the weaponry?
Or is it a fear that Putain will press the nuke button if they miss - or unleash some biological or chemical nasty over them - or just blow Cherbonyl or some other nuke-gen plant up?

Are you trying to make my idea below look sensible :-)
because.... that would show they are aggressors and the whole point of the conduct of the campaign is that the ukrainians are defending themselves
hi Ich
the special military operation isnt panning out as they initially wished

I'd suggest that Putin turning Ukraine into a radioactive wasteland is certainly a factor in their reluctance to do that.
Well he’s not going to do that anyway because a radioactive wasteland in Ukraine won’t stay in Ukraine
the kremlin is a big area to blow up ive been round it and of course as you say that will unleash all hell on Ukraine
Ukraine has naval cruise missiles but currently no sea to fire them from.

The Kremlin as observed isn’t like someone’s house. It’s a fortress and a very large one.
The Russians would see such a missile, if it existed, coming, and blow out out of the sky while Putin, even if he was there, scuttled into the cellar
“ that will unleash all hell on Ukraine”

I think we’re there already :-)

foo one ABer who can learn the lessons of history ( Chernobyl)
astounded that 'hittile' technology works - missile shooting down a missile -
Patriot tech killed more by falling debris over Jerusalem that missile hits in one of the Gulf wars - early 2000s
Now only 10% are getting thro ( and causing devastation)

you need incredibly fast feedback algorithms in order to sense, track and then shoot down an inoming missile
Because Putin is likely to be in a bunker within his underground city.
MAD (mutually assured destruction) is considered to be the reason neither side could fire a nuclear weapon.

The trouble is it requires both sides to be lead by a rational thinking person.
Putin is unhinged. Who knows what he would or will do when provoked enough?

A missile at the Kremlin (which wouldn't get through) would certainly be provocation.

so, 'execution' from within...the prize being Putin's yacht sitting in Italia perhap?
It’ll have to be.
The thing is if Putin was decapitated from without it might well have the opposite effect to the desired one.
Has to be an inside job
As has already been said. The likelihood of anyone of any importance being in that building is remote. And also has said Russia do have defence missile systems. It wouldn't get anywhere near. Better to use it blowing up a General in Ukraine.
If Ukraine attack Russia then popular opinion in Russia will be to support Putin. The best way to defeat Putin is to
- keep the body bags flowing back to Russia.
- cripple their economy.
- scarcity of goods in Russian shops.

After a few months Russian people will tire and decide it isn’t worth it. With no good outcome, Putin will be isolated and he will be forced to stop.
Ukraine is on the offensive in some areas.
Donetsk and Luhansk may be in line for liberating as apparently they are more or less undefended, the forces there having been deployed elsewhere.
For years the world has turned a blind eye to the evils that have gone on in these two so-called separatist areas. The latest reports of up to 3000 orphans and other children from there being trafficked to Russia are just the latest of the horrors.
However arms supplies need to be kept up.
If its true that Russia have been trafficking children, (and I say if true) because you don't know what is or isn't at the moment.

The way Putin works hostages would be a bargaining chip. What I can't understand is why Ukraine seem to be running out of weapons when so many countries are supposed to be supplying them with such.

My biggest fear is that the longer this goes on, it starts to be accepted and to a point ignored.
The weapons are being used at a very fast rate.
And some countries are not getting their supplies through quick enough.
Hopefully that will change
