In my local filling station this morning a man said for the first time it cost £100 to fill his large Nissan car. Anyone paid any more?.

All you lucky people in cars!!! My truck uses 120 - 150 litres a day! My bunker cards are usually about 10p/lt less than super market price, but last week went up 20p/lt and the week before 10p/lt. Was going to fill up at Tesco on Monday and Tuesday (as 16p/lt less than my card), but they had no diesel!...nor did Sainsburys, so had to bite the bullet and pay my card...

i know it's all relative but my first car didn't cost me £100 :-)
Filled my wee Fiat to the gunnels for £40 yesterday.
my Audi has an 80 litre tank, so yes, considerably more than £100 to fill up
Going electric soon.
Feel I need to ask - why all the big gas guzzlers? Have a friend who drives one but she is always on her own and seldom carries passengers. I know it's a free choice, but with prices rising would a smaller car (or even electric) make more sense?
Always top up when reading half full so don't really notice, plus I don't do many miles anyhow.

It must be getting real hard for people who use their car /van to get to work every day.
A full tank of diesel gives me a range of about 700 miles, if I drive at reasonable speed. Probably down to about 600 if I give it more welly.
£1.69 for petrol at my local Shell garage this morning.

My Beemer (petrol) has a 60 litre tank I think. so around £100 to fill from empty. But who does that? It can go 45-50 mpg but kick the twin turbos in and your looking 20mpg or so.

Nice sunny day so took it out to the forest for a spin, roads do seem a but emptier. Happy days.
Would it not be easier all round to have the twin turbos permanently attached?

Save a lot of shoe scuffing.
Yup, my flintstonemobile is great for the shoe scuffing :-)

Had an e mail from one of my cards today that says they expect the price to go down about 10p/lt this week....heres hoping!
