Government interest payments hit a record high in January.

Interest payments hit an eye watering £6.1bn last month, the highest amount for a January since records began. Last year they were £4.5bn.
That’s £6billion down the toilet for nothing.

The Johnson economic miracle continues.

Gromit, the Covid pandemic has cost billions which has to be repaid. It would be nice change if, just for once, you posted something other than your negative diatribes.
Haha as the rest of the citizens on planet Earth strive to find solutions to problems Gromit is furiously trying to find problems for solutions. Bless.
It's almost as if there has been some sort of crises.
have a day off Gromit, you failed over party gate, now the PM is doing well in the Ukraine crisis so you try and dig up some out of context cobras with which to beat the government, shameful carry on if you ask me.

// PM is doing well in the Ukraine crisis //

Is he really?
Is the US and EU following Boris’ lead?
Is Moscow (or anyone) listening to Johnson? - Nope.
party gate didn't work, get over it.
Gromit, you really are scraping the barrel with this one - and making yourself look a fool into the bargain.

// Debt interest payments in 2022-23 are set to be £25bn more than the Office for Budget Responsibility previously expected following the spike in inflation.

Bethany Beckett, an economist at Capital Economics, said the “combination of higher inflation and interest rates” will keep borrowing above the OBR’s forecasts in the coming months. //

Goodness, Party Central has deployed the big guns early on this one.
we know that, there has been a crisis, the national debt has increased, what is your point? Are you saying that we should not have spent any money at all fighting the pandemic? You are getting silly gromit, your determination to have a go at the government is negating any sort of credibility you may have had.

Boris’ fanboys are out in force today. You will not tolerate any criticism of your idol.
During the financial crisis (another world event not of our making) we were bombarded with the huge sums borrowed and the huge amount of interest we were paying. The 2010 Conservative Election manifesto was fixated on it.
If the figures now are equally as bad (they are worse), then of course I am going to post them.
ok but why are you ignoring the cause and trying to make some sort of political capital out of it? Do you think we should not have reacted at all to the pandemic?
The REAL gromit is intelligent but never speaks - quite the opposite of the OP.
Well I am hardly a Boris fan boy but Gromit you are wide of the mark on this one.

Just what did you expect from the problems the World has just gone through thanks to your commie mates in China?

And labour wanted, and still does, to pay more!
