It's still not amember of nato though. Unless bbc as it wrong. It says today one of russias worries is nato expanding so much and russia wants to make sure ukraine doesn't join.

But we should be bothered because America will retaliate, and there is the potential for rapid escalation. I think the plot to parachute in a Kremlin friendly leader who would then invite Russia to 'help maintain order' was far more likely. I think it's how Belarus operates

Firstly because Johnson cant be trusted not to take us to war to detract from his problems, secondly the Dems are in power in the USA and they live a good war.

Apart from that there is the gas/power thing. The green lobby has played right into Russia and China's hands. The net zero rubbish has meant we are becoming dependant on both nations for power and manufacturing meaning they can do pretty much what they like.

And then there are the money markets. A few dips yesterday so watch out for your pension value dropping.

Russia cut off Ukrainian gas - and shouted in satisfaction - "Look at that!" - and we all thought Christ the 30y ( fall of Berlin wall to 2010 ) of behaving like human beings is over.....we beat our ploughshares back into shields ....
