Wouldn't it be nice if Boris stood at the despatch box tomorrow and said
After fooling the British Public for just over two years ...........The party is now over........
......................My Thatcherite dream has turned into a nightmare......................
........................It is with deep regret but ..........I Resign my position as your Prime Minister........
........Now followed by huge cheers from the benches opposite
.................. and even louder cheer from his own Tory back benchers.

I know he's made an ass of himself gully, but I want him to stay, the thought of say Gove becoming PM gives me the heebie jeebies !!!

That is the dilemma
Boris has set the bar so low that the next head honcho has not exactly got a difficult act to follow have they ?
There must be one amongst them who can tell the truth and follow the rules ?
But I reckon Gove is an outsider and it will be Sunak
Question Author
Burleyshirley 15.15.... have to agree with you on that one ...Gove.. frightening.
Indeed he is gully.
and the £ rises to 1.20 against the € !
I'm not Boris' greatest fan, but fair do's; he got Brexit done, he won the substantial majority of 80 seats for the Conservative Party in the last General Election, became PM during the biggest political challenge in modern history and then faced an unprecedented global health problem which he managed to facilitate mass vaccinations for streets ahead of the EU.

Would the history books say, "He was forced out of office for not wearing a mask at a garden party"?

Have you any idea what extravaganzas meanwhile go in Brussels & Strasbourg? they would howl with laughter.
// Gromit: PMQs tomorrow will probably be a damp squib. //

Another of my predictions is shockingly wrong :-)
// He was forced out of office for not wearing a mask at a garden party //

The rules didn’t say he should wear a mask. He is not in trouble for not wearing a mask. He broke plenty of other rules though, and he that is the problem. Then lied about it.

What did abers think of David Davies doing a .....Geoffrey Howe..
.....In the name of God ......GO....
Always though Boris ...Thought he was God.
As I said elsewhere I believe Davis was the collective voice of many disaffected back benchers

The good thing about all this Boris Scandal is that Hopefully it has done untold damage to The Tory Party from which it will take a long time to recover from, ...............and will reflect at the next G/E .
Gromit; //He is not in trouble for not wearing a mask. //

Yeah, yeah, but I'm talking about 'history books' 30 years from now it will be incomprehensible that a PM could be sacked for such trivia - that it is to say if it happens (but it won't).

and Boris has never lied to Parliament, if he had he'd be long gone.

Khandro
and Boris has never lied to Parliament, if he had he'd be long gone.
——-
Yet to be determined by the Gray inquiry I believe

Given that he has a propensity for lying there is no doubt he has reverted to type since being PM

https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/uk-news/boris-johnson-been-sacked-lying-22725862.amp

He has even lied to the Queen before now so nothing is beyond him

'Economical with the truth' I believe is the shibboleth. :0)
Gulliver,David Davies(Monmouth), hardly,if at all,says anything in Parliament don’t know what he’s doing there.
Gulliver // doing a .....Geoffrey Howe.//
Who,in turn, was repeating what was first said by Oliver Cromwell.
Question Author
Khandro ,Boris is a born lier, he tell so many lies that even if he told the truth no one would believe him.
//Gulliver // doing a .....Geoffrey Howe.//
Who,in turn, was repeating what was first said by Oliver Cromwell. //

And see how he turned out.
Question Author
Danny @08.15 ....Cromwell raised an Army ...
........There is only one thing Boris can raise..
//Gulliver // doing a .....Geoffrey Howe.//
Who,in turn, was repeating what was first said by Oliver Cromwell.//

But Geoffrey Howe never said it.
