there must have been 1000s of "illegal" gatherings up and down the country. It's just been hysterical that we have discovered that politicians of all sides are human too. We have Tory + Labour transgressing, I'd wager a Lib Dem soiree is out there waiting to be leaked to the press too.

“ Sir Keir was seen having a beer while standing close to two other people.”

Shocker :-)
I'd like to know what constitutes 'a party'. I would never consider having a drink with colleagues to be 'a party'. This is all petty nonsense.
It's old news.

TORATORATORA is desperately clutching at straws.
Great find. Ttt, you keep searching your doing a great service for the country .
Naomi // I would never consider having a drink with colleagues to be 'a party'. //
But isn't that what Boris has been pilloried for?

Yes, danny, it is. That was kind of my point. The stupidity of the charge applies to all - Starmer included.
I changed the title so that people aren't confused about who on earth Rodders is.
Who provided the booze? Who decided to have a booze up in the work place? Have the emails started to emerge yet? Can't wait for the revelations to come. Mind you Max Headroom has to drink whilst in work, he gets chucked out of pubs.
WE all knew "who rodders" was. There is also a picture of him in the link. Or is the edit for different reasons?
Yes it's old news Corby! So is the party at No 10!
This wasn’t really a drink with work colleague tho was it in Johnson’s case but a large gathering with invites and byob.

Not a party of course but a work event.I’d say more of a work do myself but “do” = party” and I don’t want to get the PM in trouble :-)
^ well i didn't think 'dave' was being pilloried . . .
Exactly Togo!!

come on Ed there can't be many who don't know who Rodders is!
I know who “Rodders” is by now but many won’t - if this is a semi serious news forum then let’s not protect the guilty with silly pseudonyms ;-)
This whole thing now is a fiasco!!
It’s the fact that the people who make the rules then break the rules allegedly.
Then lie about it allegedly
Togo - no, I'd just like some clarity instead of nicknames so that people - who might be first-time visitors to the site, not just the regulars - know what's being discussed. It's not just Rodders that's a problem, but all obscure nicknames and abbreviations.
Ich, the 'invitation' was an internal email to staff, the people attending were staff and the 'party' amounted to a drink in the garden. A lot of nonsense over nothing.
