Apparently, just over an hour after he had stood at that podium, over 100 invites went out. It is estimated that between 40 and 50 people accepted the invites at a time when gatherings in a public place of more than 2 people were not allowed. This was unless the people were all members of the same household or the gathering was essential for work purposes. Not hosting a garden party in order to take advantage of the lovely weather!

Boris' government is a shambles - no leadership & no challenge to the leader. But will the next be any better? Hence (in part) my determination to refrain from ever voting again.

dave, the thing about voting is that it's not your vote that decides the next government. If your side doesn't win, then you are only helping your enemies if you go off in a huff and refuse to vote again. Refusing to vote is what your enemies want.
