I’m surprised nothing more has been said about this

I voted Tory and no doubt I’ll vote Tory again but there’s just so much Joe Public can take , Boris needs to go

On the lunchtime news, a conservative association chairman said the media's steady drip-drip was damaging Boris and the Tories. He was blaming the media for Bozo's problems. Johnson must know whether he was at any of these parties or received invites to those he didn't attend. Isn't there an appointments book or his personal diary? The furore could be...

Yeah I know ymfb ;0)
//How about Gove to replace him? He's clever.//

My sides are splitting (but I haven't wet myself).

Gove is not electable. Being PM is a lot more than being clever.
So while we were being told to do xyz for the good of the populus , we had the same politicians doing zyx .

Do wonder there is a lack of trust from the ordinary Joe .

Shameful
The bookies appear to think it's a straight fight between Sunak and the cheese lady;

It would probably be between the two of them Ken, but of course it depends on who else actually throws their hat in the ring. Bookies dont know that yet, they may guess but there can be surprises.

I’d like to see Sunak in charge , I think Boris’s position is now untenable
Ladybirder @ 13.03.......... Have you taken leave of your senses...........
people elect boris and then are surprised he acts like, well, boris?
> What amazes me most is why it's taken a year and a half for this to come out.

Because now enough people on his own side want him out ...
.........The Partys over .......It's time to call it a day......All dreams must end....
/Pat, are you saying starmer and co are to blame ?/

To blame for the party a year ago! Of course not. What a weird question Anne?

But to blame for continuously investigating for more *** to stir up! They should be concentrating on building up a reasonable opposition. And quite honestly, I am quite sure there's a lot of *** to stir in their own party if digging deep back in time.

I'm sick of the whole fiasco!!
Labour don't need to investigate, Pat. All the info is coming from leaks from within number 10.
Pat, this thread is about Boris, not the Labour Party. Start a thread on the other opposition parties.
Gully, Boris might at sometime be over, but he Conservative Party certainly isn't. There is no alternative. In fact the alternative Moscow worse than it has ever been.

And I agree that being super clever isn't the only qualification for being a prime minister, but it's a good start and Gove is very astute. Richie is too young and needs a lot more experience. He's not ready yet!
Anne, it's about Boris and about the party as well, as other comments have shown. Reserve your clever comments for when I'm in a better mood and can laugh them please.

The furore could be quashed if he (honesty) said he wasn't there, or that he was, and will apologise for the hurt and anger caused.
Fair enough pat. I’ll watch out for your posting * I’m in a good mood * :-) sorry for the diversion this thread .
PAT, Boris Johnson won't even say if he had been at the party or no.

Could it be he has been at so many, it's all a bit of a blur and he cannot mind on specific parties?
It could be Corby, but it could be too that, until the official report is out, then he won't comment (which he has been saying all the time). And he's right to say it!
I'm sick of the media these days!!
Blaming the media for publishing what's leaked to them by the people that want Boris out? As if it's not in the public interest for us plebs to hear it? That's a bit rich ...
