Good on the Aussies for getting this specimen out of their country. Perhaps he'll now organise another superspreader tennis tournament in his native land. Good riddance.

Has he not challenged the decision?
From your link, "Djokovic’s lawyers are in the process of challenging the decision, according to a source who spoke to Melbourne newspaper The Age."
What do you mean 'deported'! He was told he was allowed into the country to play in the tournament, so he rocked up to do just that. The Aussie PM decided against it and he was refused entry.
Now i've read the belated link, i get it. I thought they'd already turned him away. I also get the fact that you don't appear to have much time for the best player in the world, gg? Pity that because he speaks very highly of you:-/
I think what's happened here is a case of embarrassment after the fact. They grant permission to an anti vaxer claiming some sort of medical exemption hoping no one will notice, after all they want him in their tennis tournament. Oops world wide gasps in the media, the famously draconian Aussie system is not equal for everyone in seems. The PM is embarrassed and goes on TV saying that if Djoko doesn't produce proper evidence of his "exemption" on landing he gets the bums rush. Low and behold the next day his bum is indeed rushed!
//The 20-time grand slam champion reportedly traveled to Australia on a visa that does not permit medical exemptions for being unvaccinated//

Should have got his s#it together, or his management team should have.

I still think he will find a way in. Last I heard he was taking some body to court over his threatened deportation.
Who else does that but those who think they’re above the rest of the little people? Rules are for other people!

If he does get to stay in Aus he won’t have a very nice time of it. But, tough luck, matey.
His case is being heard by the Federal court right now. I hope they stick with Australia's rules and send Djokovic packing but if he stays I'm sure the tennis fans will boo his every ball bounce.
"Djokovic was held in the airport for several hours before border officials announced he had not met entry rules.

He was then taken to a government detention hotel. A court will decide on his deportation on Monday."

What's the point of a vaccine if you've already had covid?
you can get covid more than once
He now has until the Monday court hearing to sweat it out. What a farce!
I think TTT has it right. The outcome will be interesting either way. I can't see him having a great time at the tournament if he's allowed to stay.
Mwah ha ha!
[twiddles imaginary moustache]
:-)
But...but what will the crowds do for their fix of endess ball-bouncing and feigned injury?
Never mind: Serbia will “fight … for truth and justice”

That’ll be a first …
they could always watch our andy for the feigning injury doug . . .
