I know a few people who refuse to be vaccinated and I doubt a knock at the door will change that. There is no point in trying to persuade them. One of my mates said that her brother couldn't spend Christmas day with her as he and his family had covid despite having been triple jabbed. I tried to explain that vaccinated people can still get covid but they are less...

Have you a point to make?
Instead of 'What?' - how about 'Good!'
Wow! Isn't that great! If, for some reason, you can't get to a centre you'll have people come to your house to do it.
What's your point Roy? They won't be forcing the jabs on anyone, just offering them. Be very helpful for people housebound or with mobiity issues.

And you think the majority of the unvaxxed are housebound or have mobility issues?

Lord help us.
Ahhh, I see. You don't want those who can't get to a centre to receive the vaccine? Why?
Question Author
again... what?
//And you think the majority of the unvaxxed are housebound or have mobility issues?//

Neither Gness or I said that, but don't let that get in the way of things. So what do you have against the idea?
Roy - don't you think that the more people who have the vaccine, the better?
There are bound to be some who won't relish a knock at the door but if this plan goes towards reducing the number of unvaccinated then it's a good plan.
What?? Why What? all the time? Or have you been listening rather than reading and not quite heard?
Not official here but it's been done out of kindness for some folk. Great idea for many.

Regardless of what I think, I believe in freedom of choice when it comes to the vaccine.
I doubt they'll be pinning anyone down and jabbing them Roy.

Question Author
How come you haven't pointed out that I didn't say

'I don't want those who can't get to a centre to receive the vaccine?'

Mozz?
I think many anti-vaxxers will relish the opportunity to spout off when/if they get a knock on the door to find teams waving syringes... ;-)
And how does going to ask people if they want it infringing on that freedom of choice? "No thank you" is still an option.
Question Author
Mamya, I don't think they will actually do it but if they do I envisage plenty of police time taken up by rushing out to protect the jab-squads.
I didn't say that Roy. Gness adressed it as a question, not a statement. Up to you to respond to it with something more than "what?" if you wish to argue the point.
It seems to have taken a long time for the door-to-door vaccination programme to fully come about, given that it was successfully piloted in Bedfordshire last spring:

Mine was addressed as a question, Mozz but somehow you find a difference....what is wrong with you?
