Zero parties Boris Johnson insisted had been held in Downing Street last December, as he announced an investigation into 18 December event to ‘establish all the facts’.

3 further parties that have been added to the cabinet secretary’s investigation.

8 total parties so far have been claimed to have taken place in Downing Street (PE then goes on to list some of the government departments alleged to have held those parties).

Including quizes at desks for people in work. Depends what you mean by party.
Still a daft idea to do anything fun like wear a Christmas jumper or have drinks at desks in the climate at the time... por judgement.
But to liken them to house parties and drunken/drugged up mass raves is a bit silly
A top No.10 official tasked with investigating these alleged parties has quit after it emerged that one of the parties was in his office.

// The UK's top civil servant has stepped aside from his role leading an inquiry into Downing Street lockdown parties, after it emerged an event was held in his own office.
Simon Case had been due to report on claims Covid rules were broken at events for staff last year.
But his role was put into doubt after reports a party was held in his office while London was under Covid rules. //
Yes that was the one with was it 6 people sitting at desks doing an online quiz.
We had a quiz at work at Xmas... maybe our store will get introuble to
Fortunately for keir the pictures of him sharing a beer with party colleagues has gone quiet
Hymie, you really shouldn't depend upon Private Eye for your education. It doesn't have the best reputation in that area.
camelot it is not
camelot - you recollect ( well now you do after I remind you)
was the Court of Pres Jack Kennedy - secrets well kept for fifty y.

Here - like the huge queues for boosters ( Brits voting with their feet) ignored and not reported upon, the ennui of the British Public ( yes ennui dahling) the ennui for the nobs having a good time whilst prescribing / serving up gruel for us proles is - - strong, overwhelming

and so they reach for the emails ....

I can hardly believe that the senior civil servant 'forgot' to add well we had one too, when asked to investigate

perhaps he thought - " well I havent been asked to investigate myself so there is no conflict!"
have I got this right
Hymie reads something in PE which is true
and someone else says - dont read that, and you will feel much better

Saturday on AB, I conclude!
Is there a question, or is this just a statement of the alleged parties that we already know about?

If I hadn’t read in Private Eye I would not have known that there are now 8 Downing Street parties that alleged to have taken place while London was in lock-down.

Perhaps other ABers can point me to the main stream press who are covering this?
I haven't counted them but there are several mentioned here - without the puerile sarcasm that is Private Eye. I'm sure there are other reports if you look.

Pretty sure the DM and The Sun have been covering them. Both free papers online. It's pretty much everywhere.

Even the linked Grauniad articles are only up to 5 parties; while this story of is of no interest to Tory supporters, many people might be very annoyed that they could not visit a dying elderly relative or attend a funeral of a loved one (due to social distancing) – whilst our lords & masters were partying away.
Which parties are discussed by Private Eye?

Ah, all becomes clear now, you want to start up PartyGate again.

This has been done to death on here and elsewhere. There will be an investigation so maybe wait and see if a) its a whitewash or b) we learn what really happened. Certainly a couple of these seem to be no more than people who were already at work wearing a crappy jumper and playing a quiz. At their desks. That must have been done up and down the country and there really int anything wrong with it apart from being a bit of a daft idea as BiW says.

There's plenty more to bash Boris on so try something else.

Hymie hastily flips through his unique library made up solely of copies of Private Eye magazine....

It does.

I've just had a message through from Ian Hislop asking us not to worry as Private Eye has had to fend off even more formidable critics than the fragrant naomi in the past.

Don't have nightmares.
Gromit, since when were awards considered to be ‘education’?
