Boris Johnson urges people to get jabbed ‘to be in strong position for Christmas’

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/boris-johnson-booster-vaccine-christmas-omicron-184343617.html

Fat chance - I've just made a booking on the first available date - 4th January.

Last time I tried a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't even let me book as it said it was too early to do so.

So, which is it ?
(a) Boris is lying again
(b) Boris hasn't got a clue
(c) He means Xmas 2022

d) He isn’t talking to you.

the booster rollout has been good, i got various tx and an e mail telling me how to book. I did and got it quickly, that was a month ago now. Job done.
Canary never comes back to a thread once posted it would seem from previous posts.
I’ve had a couple of txts inviting me for my booster, but to a surgery absolutely nowhere near me, even tho I live opposite one! So am going to ring them or cross the road and talk to them today.
that's what i would do, i was invited to one place to have the booster but it was too far, and then found they were doing it down the road at a drop in centre.
No problem here. I had my second jab in september and was called for my booster six months on, as were my husband and son. All done and dusted.
Sorry Roopower but your answer above makes no sense! If you had your 2nd jab in September, how do you reckon your booster was "6 months on" as it's now only November?
The problem lies with the doctor's surgeries, not with the NHS nor the Government.
Have you tried using the gov booking site. It let's you book once your eligible. My booking was right on time - 6 months + week which is what it was suppose to be.
It appears that the booster rollout has been a postcode lottery. Ditto the flu jab - many people locally haven't been able to get the latter because none of the surgeries or pharmacies has any vaccine and don't have a clue as to when they'll receive more.
Have you tried to book online diddlydoo?
Do what I did and check on your local Council website. I found a long list of places and dates around my area where I could just drop in without an appointment. So I did drop in and got my jab within 10 minutes. None of the places I found were mentioned on any other paperwork I received from NHS or the doctor.
Flu jabs have ben easy to get.got mine free at boots and have had several invites from my surgery. Drop in centres available too. Maybe your looking for problems that ain't there
had mine a month ago, walked into local chemist. Must be rough in 5th Column land.
Bobbinwales - I assure you that the problems are real round here. The nearest Boots has no flu vaccine even though they have a "Get your flu jab here" poster in the window.
so to answer your points
a) it's not a lie to believe something and forward that information, RBID kicking in again
b) look a bit closer to home for that one
c) no
diddly, that's Oxford remoaner country.
Well I asure you that's not typical so maybe try further afield or complain to your mp or ask your gp
D) I realise now I misunderstood how it works so I'll keep away from the thread now
Ask my GP - what a joke when our village surgery shut up shop completely at the start of the pandemic.
If you go somewhere near civilisation diddly you'll find a place. The local chemists round here are doing walk ins.
