I know why the migrants in France want to leave their homelands but why don’t they want to stay in France? In other words what is the attraction of being here over any other country?

Heard the French interior minister tell the EU member states that he think Britain needs to toughen up to stop them thinking it’s easy here, I agree with him too
Question Author
So they think it’s ‘easier’ here than in France?
Question Author
Thanks Mama - I missed that
Apparently so ric-ror
it's easier here if they speak the language and/or have family here, which seems to be frequently the case.
They’re not French migrants. They’re African and Asian and they come here because we’re a soft touch. They’re living in tents in France and the French let them. No tents here.

But are we a ‘softer’ touch than say the French and why don’t they apply to France or one of the other countries they travel through? I’m not saying we should or shouldn’t accept them (I do have a strong opinion on the people smugglers though)
In an interview with one he said 'France is not a safe country for us, there are no free houses and no hotels. We must live on the street'. If they have family members here, why don't they go and stay with them? They just want a free life in my opinion.
I still can't get my head around the fact that we are laying on buses for them to transport them to their hotel accommodation. We must be the laughing stock of the entire world.
There’s a lot of hotels particularly near regional airports are being used to feed and clothe them with a warm comfy bed for the night, what about our homeless people?
OH was telling me about some posts on Twitter. A lot of the cleaners in these hotels have had to quit their jobs. She said the migrants are disgusting and filthy and many don't even know how to use the toilet.
[i]why don’t they apply to France or one of the other countries they travel through[i]

Ric.ror, they do stop in France - if they've come from countries that were invaded by the French empire. You don't see great numbers of Algerians, Laotians, Djiboutians and so forth in Britain. What you see is people from countries that were taken into the British empire. That's how come they speak English rather than French.

Step one in How to Stop Immigrants Invading My Country is: "Don't invade theirs".
Our homeless should definitely have priority!
It’s amazing how they can turn full hotels over to illegal immigrants while for years our homeless have slept on the streets
well, the dead woman they identified the other day came from Iraq. So it's possible she had a home and Britain bombed it. That's the trouble with invasions. I don't see why she hasn't a claim on housing here just as much as British homeless.
//So it's possible she had a home and Britain bombed it. //

Nice bit of the usual anti UK rhetoric.

Why are you still here if we are so bad
come on, ymb, each time I put forward an argument, all you can say is "Anti-British! Why are you here?"

That's pathetic. Try telling me exactly why and where I'm wrong - if you can.
In other words what is the attraction of being here over any other country?

We all know why ! ( well 99.9% do ).
Would that mean I could go live in Germany jno, and be housed straight away ?
Daft innit?
