.... (since Brexit came into effect on 1st jan 2021).. have slipped into Britain unopposed .
Heard this all before Mr Johnson......seems like Brexit was a complete waste of time and money.

Gully ♥ Brexit
Yes, we have heard it all before….from you on a boringly daily basis, Gulliver… and still you don’t understand.
Yaaaawn!
The term broken record comes to mind.
Don't think you'll beat your 158 on the 5th for this month with this one Gulliver.
I don't believe the migrant crists and Brexit are as inexctricably linked as you would like to believe gulliver, in order to have a pop at the government.

That said, you point is valid - I do wonder if the government really is serious about stopping the mass influx of immigration, since they appeare reluctant to take any meaningful measures.

Other countries simply refuse to take people arriving illegally, we seem keen to put them up in hotels.

If the government is serious about addressing this increasing problem, lt needs to do something and be seen to do something, or stop making a song and dance about doing something, when it clearly has no intention.

It needs to be one or the other, and soon.
I still don't understand why you care so much about immigration in a country you don't even reside. Aren't YOU an immigrant?
Got the Xmas appeal letter from the RNLI - thinking "What, so you can bring more migrants in!" Get lost.
I can only assume the 54 million given to France wasn't enough to cure the double cataract.

There's a fine line between single-minded thinking, and one-dimensional thinking - one being less helpful in seeing a bigger picture than the other.
please explain the difference, my education is obviously lacking!

By all means - single-minded thinking means seeing the RNLI as migrant-rescuers, and nothing else, which you see as a negative thing.

One dimensional thinking means ignoring all the other vital life-saving work that the RNLI does in saving lives of people who are not migrants, but simply victims of the vagiaries of nature in general, and the sea in particular.

I would not refuse to donate to the RNLI becuase its approach is to save people, not only to save people who are white British tax payers
I felt a bit like that, Dave, when I heard the RNLI were helping fund burkinis for women abroad.

Me too.

When I hear that some psychpths cloak their deranged behaviour under a cloak of religious observance, it makes me distrust all Muslims.

Life's just like that, I mean, what can you do?
You must have a thing about Muslims, AH. Hardly fair.
naomi - // You must have a thing about Muslims, AH. Hardly fair. //

Can you print that, and stick it over your monitor, and look at it every time you post on here?

That would save a lot of nonsense!
AH, Why would I want to remind myself that you have a problem with muslims?

Did you just log in to start arguments again? If so you’re off to a flying start. You’ve managed to attack people on two threads already.

I've said all I am going to say ... I'm not getting into it with you ... What are you talking about? ...

Pick whichever fits, and you can assume those as my future answers to your questions as well - it seems to work for you.
//not only to save people who are white British tax payers//

Well that's really ill informed. Firstly I know plenty of non white people in this country who are fed up with unfettered immigration and secondly I consider that comment offensive and racist.

Lastly, it might be useful to point out the RNLI has millions, if Dave, and others, want to make a point this year then it wont affect anyone's lives.

My description was deliberately exaggerated and cliched for the purposes of makng a point.

If memory serves, the charity exists entirely on public donations, so it is not in the business of losing contributins from anyone, even those who disapprove of some of their spending policies.
