Stickybottle, naomi.
Thanks. Just trying to follow the conversation.
We will agree to disagree then
If it does not become compulsory and an individual decides against it then they must bear the brunt of the legislation decided in their country
If that country decides you must pay for your treatment or be denied it when you had the chance to offset the risks then you cannot complain
Lots of conspiracy theorists and prominent anti vaxers have subsequently died of covid
Let natural selection take its place and do not seek medical help retrospectively where covid is involved
You’re basically repeating yourself.

We need to do what is right and proper? People can decide to do what is right and proper for them, not be dictated to

Right and proper for them ?
For the me me me types you mean ?
So you agree it is right and proper that anti vaxers should not attend struggling hospitals should they fall ill with covid ?
Like it or not that is the way that some governments are moving

You did not answer my question about the variant and vaccinating infants should it be necessary so I guess we are even
// What happens if they can't afford it or their bills exceed their insurance limits?//
the usual in an insured health system - they pay themselves and the hospital makes them banktupt

US - 30m have no insurance at all, 10% or the population - seems low to me
people can refuse bits of treatment * (vaccination)
and not other bits - hospital admission when you have it
The wealthy who choose to remain unvaccinated will be cared for - the poor will not - and that cannot be ‘right and proper’ on any level. It stinks.
I referred to your comment about infants, stickybottle. I said as far as I’m aware no vaccine is compulsory.

Probably a good idea to get vaccinated then
The poor have been doing so for decades in Africa
Haven't even read your whole reply, yet sb! But, clearly isn't utterly rubbish. It is literally true.
I'm not sure I support the idea canary and it will never happen here. Too many people in UK are up in arms at the restrictions on liberties if you have to show proof of a jab to go in a night club or are requested to wear a face covering in a shop or have to isolate if you fail a test (newjudge) or are needding to be vaxxed to keep a job working with vulnerable people... so theres no way this will even be considered here.
Its even a step too far for me.

Its good to see your views seem to me (I may be wrong) directly opposed to diddlydo who beleives we should refuse to wear masks an act of civil disobedience
It didn't get much better, did it, sb. You agreed....
Pathetic swerve there, stickybottle, but no surprise really. It can’t be easy to concede that THAT is what you’re actually supporting.
I have no sympathy for the selfish people who dont get vaccinated and risk everyone`s health and restrict those peoples freedoms.

My sister and I had 8 callbacks today, (just 2 of us), from people we genuinely don't have time to help, so gave them as many phone numbers as possible to find someone.
Every single one has rung us back this morning, unable to find anywhere else- too short-staffed because of unvaxxed carers. What do you suggest happens to those people now? Some are bedbound.
You are missing the point, sb. I didn't offer stats. I pointed out that some people died from the vaccine alone, and many more, have permanent health problems. You seem to think that's ok, if it isn't as many as die of covid...? But, are ignoring, that covid is one blameless risk. Vaccination is a responsibility. Who is to blame, IF someone gets pushed into one they didn't want? The government? Websites?
