Have they got the dead to turn up and vote yet? Or were they all having Halloween parties and overslept.

Not a huge fan of Joe but this is the US equivalent of the government losing a mid term bye election. They should be more worried about when he's going to doze off next. Nothing to see here.
Are we going to see the resurrection of Trump and the Republcans.
It's a massive upset, ttt. Like Islington voting Tory.
Let's hope it's a resurrection of honest elections, Danny.
Let's Go Brandon.

As things stand at the moment, if there was a straight run-off between Joe & Donald, Trump would be putting his golf clubs away & heading for the White house I think.
^I think so too.
Bit early for mid term blues TTT, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr has only been in the position for nine months. In addition Virgina was won by 10% so quite a swing.

I think you could be right Khandro.
Of course, its not quite over yet. Lets wait for the last minute extension and a batch of Dem postal votes to suddenly be found.
Just an observation - recently the US seem to vote for "old" men. Are there no young dynamic ones stepping up to the plate?

Yes Maggie, I've asked that question before. They had Obama but dont seem to have anyone else (from any Party) who could step up.

Or is allowed to step up. American Politics is a very closed job.

In most ocupations, when you reach a stage when you are too old and decrepit and senile and drooling and ga-ga and generally ready to fall of the twig in all senses, it's time to move out and give someone else a turn.

The exceptions to that rule appear to be, high court judges, popes and presidents.

Worrying, isn't it ...

I'm giving you BA Togo 'cos you made me laugh!
Just collecting their votes as we speak Togo. They just need McAuliffe to let then know how many he wants to win by :-)

Just look at the postal votes on this graph!!

I do wonder whether America experienced the same with this election as with the previous one - it was not so much the candidate they actually wanted, rather the candidate they disliked the least.

I believe that is why Trump got in, because Hilary Clinton was so toxic that even a reality TV star with a tenuous grip on reality seemed a better option.

This time, when it was clear that the previous choice was a dyed-in-the-wool, fetch-the-elephant-tranquiliser, twenty-four carrar lunatic, even Sleepy Joe looked like a better bet.

And once again it's shaping up to prove them wrong.

The Republicans may well select Trump again, and unless the Democrats can offer a viabl alternative, they are going to lose the next election.
Haha. Ta Khandro. There are already "reports" coming in of more strange blips and spikes in the counts. Remember, absentee ballots may be accepted until noon on November 5th, making the current results incomplete. Final results will be certified on November 15th.
Joe won't be phased, he's having a good old snooze in Glasgow. Someone else's misfortune will be the last thing on his addled mind.

... and AB mods?
It's incredible that the US is unable to offer their voters something better to choose from.
Togo - yes I forgot them, but being too senile and ga-ga etc etc I would wouldn't I!!!
// It's a massive upset. Like Islington voting Tory.

Not really. Virginia is a bit of a swing state. It voted Republican during Clinton’s two terms, and it voted Democrat when Trump was elected.

It is neither red nor blue, as its voting history shows.
