@08.14.Is there any need for that kind of sarcasm, ichy.Thousands died up here in Scotland,a lot due to Sturgeons inept response to the covid outbreak, yet you try to make some kind of a sarcy reply to my comment.More fool you, hun.
I seem to recall the Health Secretary saying, when he took over, that we should learn to live with Covid and start getting back to normal. Lots of people don't seem to want that. They want full lockdown. They were prepared to follow the advice for lockdown, but not follow it when the advice changes. People have got used to lockdown. They seem to like it, for some reason.
BTW, did anyone see the two photos in the DM yesterday, where the MPs were stood in silence for Sir David Amess?
On the Tory side, only 3 MPs were wearing facemasks; on the Labour side everyone was wearing one. The perfect illustration that people want ignore govt advice and remember the good old days of full lockdown!
You said “thousands died at the hands of Sturgeon”

Which deserves the sarcasm it gets to be honest.
The labour benches are trying to prove how good and righteous they are.

Boris has now implemented Plan "B"....Let it rip ...
Clearly the labour benches havnt bothered to read up how ineffective pretty much every mask worn is.

But if there is a virtuous signal to be given labour will be in there.

How the hell did Britain's Vaccine programme go from,

......Well there will not be another lockdown in the UK '....
"I would rather let the bodies pile high than implement another lockdown said a ...well known Poltician.
As I posted earlier, the vaccine programme does indeed appear to have stalled.
Just because gully posted it doesn’t make it wrong.
He has to be right occasionally :-)
Yes its stalled but does anyone have anything to back up he's claim we're the laggard of Europe. I doubt it. Maybe he'll posta link to prove it

16.32 , I only post the truth Ichke...
It's just that I have a stronger opposition party on A/B than Boris could ever handle in Parliament.
"The laggard of Europe on vaccines."
Go on, show us the table or a link. or I'll assume you made it up.
We're behind on 12-16s yes as we just started
Bobbinwales, I've just looked at some stats online, and those show the UK is fifteenth (when it comes to percentage of the population vaccinated). We're behind France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, and just ahead of Germany. I was disappointed to see this as our initial efforts had been so praiseworthy.
... that was on the ourworldindata website, and was dated yesterday.
Yes thats because of 12-18s. We should of started sooner but had to wait for approval from medical approvers whearas others started months ago. But were still doing good on ober 18s and any shortfall from 100% is due to hesitancy/refusal not availability. Just look at the poor figures for prof footballers- could be 100% as all have been offered but only 60% have taken up both so far.
Hard to blame any politician for that- gulliver should be pointing fingers at the refusers/ CBA's
Thanks, bobbinwales. While I agree that there are probably valid reasons for our... slow-down, there is actually a slow-down that wasn't fully expected. As the last 18 months has shown, statistics can be justified or explained away to suit one's thinking.
Agreed. We're behind on 12-18s but thats not as significant as it would be if we were behind on say over 60s where we got ahead early on.
But we are where we are and theres still trouble ahead, deaths are too high and complacency or even refusal on vaccinnes, masks, social distancing, and winter is going to make it worse
I don’t know what the reason for the delays are: we were promised a roll out by half term but that has arrived with no progress
I think the last table I saw showed the UK as 8th in Europe on vaccinations now but this sort of comparison is hardly helpful
I don't put a great deal of faith in any of the tables, charts -but nor do I think 'XY posted this, therefore he'll be making it up, so I'll dismiss it entirely.'
