Will miss the next England match

I know they are footballers but I read elsewhere that they consider themselves too fit to catch Covid
Do they not realise that it does not discriminate on age or health or gender ?
Bit ironic that the story breaks on the day Tom Daley reveals he caught Covid and was very ill as a result
The fact that they played in empty stadiums until recently does not appear to have registered with them !

They will NOT miss the next match.

They will miss the World Cup finals next year.

They should be named and shamed.
shouldn't it be their personal choice if they are vaccinated or not? No one should be forced to have something injected into their bodies if they don't want to. If they choose not to be injected then they fully understand the risks and should be left alone.
// If they choose not to be injected then they fully understand the risks and should be left alone//

Very alone, why should others live and work with the risk of being infected?
The risk is there vaccinated or not
Maybe, just possibly maybe, your risk to the community is lower with a vaccination?

it does seem better all round to be vaccinated,
I know very well vaccinated people can pass on the infection.
But the more vaccinated the less hosts and maybe less deaths?
perhaps on a personal level you feel safer being vaccinated so why should a football player who decides not to have the jab be a threat to you if you and all the vulnerable are safe and vaccinated? people should not be forced or coerced to have a jab that has not even completed it trials yet.
No body should be forced into anything Purist
That includes people who don't wish to exposed to a risk
I couldn't come to Australia, early 60's unless I was vaccinated.
28 years later my children couldn't attend preschool or play group, unless vaccinated.
What's new?
If you're dead against vaccination feel free to opt out.
Your choice
The vaccine does little to stop exposure

"No body should be forced into anything"
But its okay to "name and shame these individuals and treat them like criminals until they feel pressured to do something against their own will.
"I couldn't come to Australia, early 60's unless I was vaccinated.

These are tried and tested vaccines, not currently going through trial periods, also the vaccines you mention actually offer immunity, they wont have you coming back for your 3rd booster, then the 4th booster, then the 5th ect

The scientific community had limited resources to work with in the early days, but the viruses/diseases had been around for quite some time.
Reverse that analogy, lots of resources and information but a brand new virus to understand.
Should lots more people die first?

Isn’t the issue here a sporting one:
If they aren’t vaccinated they’ll miss the World Cup.
And much grief all round as England crash out :-)
You make your choice if you want the jab or not, it will protect you and only you, it wont protect people around you as risk of transmission and viral load are the same regardless of whether you are jabbed or not, however people should not be shamed or lose their livelihood for deciding not to have the vaccination.
You could be right ich
Well, we'll see just how important playing for their country really is to them I guess.
If you say so Purist,
apart from the fact the virus mutates in a host organism and then leaps forth with new powers, just like a Marvel Comic super villain.
Less hosts, less chance of a new super villain.
But, people have rights
// But, people have rights//

yup they sure do: not to be infected by jerks.

// I know they are footballers but those with particularly small brains should be kept chained up// - blimey you can say that again !

and in case anyone wonders - you cant be too fit to get Covid - and it is NOT the case that delta only kills olds - The land of the free ( oh god rights and all that) no of deaths is now in excess of 700 000 total with deaths in under 60s being around a third
( 40-60 - 140 000)
//also the vaccines you mention actually offer immunity, they wont have you coming back for your 3rd booster, then the 4th booster, //

Some non-covid vaccines lose their effectiveness over time & need to be "refreshed" periodically.
