So BORIS and his Brigade of Brexiteers have had to appeal to the EUSSR for their help to get the UK out of the Mire because Britain can not stand alone any longer.
In the run up to Christmas Britain is asking The E/U for A Loan of 5,000 poultry workers,10.000 Hgv drivers and other workers. But this will be no where near enough,.. as at least 100.000Workers of all types are needed to pull the UK out of the Desperate situation it is in ....But these crucially needed workers will be kicked out of Britain again on 24th Dec. How do you think the E/U will respond.

do you have a link? I can't find anything remotely resembling what you are on about.
Some numbers in the link below. But it’s all fine as I learned earlier because it’s the businesses fault that they can’t handle Brexit properly and it’ll only be a generation till it’s all sorted anyway.

I think what Gulliver is on about,Tora,is thanks to Brexit,Britain chased out of Britain thousands of hard-working EU workers. Now Bojo wants to take back these thousands he and the rest of the Brexiteers chased out of Britain. What a joke this country has become.
no one was chased out.
can't find the bit where Boris is going "cap in hand" to the EUSSR.

19.38 ,Britain needs to import 2 Million workers then Ynnafymmi, never thought it was that many . where have all the immigrants gone?
or have they all gone back to.
Question Author
So Boris needs to import more workers than he first thought.
typical gulliver thread, we first have to work out what he's on about!
Question Author
19.45, "No one was chased out "
You would have carried each one back to the E/U your own... TTT
There not appealing to the EU for loan of workers tho gulliver. There using the new freedom to choose when and for how long to let a limited number of people in from abroad to fill key roles for which there's a shortfall. Of course Europe has shortfall's too so it wont solve the problem.
Question Author
22.09 Already decided how long to let them in for .
Three months and kick them out in Christmas eve,...... without a turkey.
Oi! gulliver give it a rest.

Seems like Boris is now appealing to the EUSSR for help.
//...as I learned earlier because it’s the businesses fault that they can’t handle Brexit properly and it’ll only be a generation till it’s all sorted anyway.//

Perhaps you point readers to the place where you learnt that. Better still, quote the passage which you believe said that and let them place their own interpretation on it (as you have).
In a report released this week, European Road Freight Transport 2018, the supply chain analyst shows that in just six countries – the UK, Germany, France, Denmark Sweden and Norway – the shortage of drivers adds up to 127,500.

The UK leads the way with a shortage of 52,000 drivers, but is closely followed by Germany at 45,000 vacancies – with predictions that this could increase by a staggering 28,000 each year.

The report says: “In Germany, the DSLV transport union reports that in the next 15 years, two-thirds of drivers will retire. Germany is facing a shortage of 45,000 truck drivers, with around 30,000 leaving the profession every year. This compares with only 2,000 people receiving truck-driving qualifications each year.”

France has a shortage of 20,000 drivers, while road freight associations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway report shortages of 5,000, 2,500 and 3,000, respectively.

This, of course, leaves out more than 20 countries in Europe where numbers have not been collected – although it is safe to assume that similar trends are likely across western countries, where driver numbers have been on the decline for the past two decades.
I should have added that the above was a statement from BIFA (the British International Freight Association) four years ago !
Question Author
22.40 So the report wasn't released this week then. OK.
KHANDRO's quote is from December 2018

NJ it's what you said. Agreed it doesn't sound great if it's what you believe then own it, don't try and say you meant something else!

NJ: //The fact that they [businesses] have not prepared for it, or not seemed to believe it would happen is not the fault of the government. Companies run their businesses, not the government//
= "it’s the businesses fault that they can’t handle Brexit properly"

NJ: //Brexit is a long game and it will be a generation rather than a fortnight before the true advantages are fully realised//
= "only be a generation till it’s all sorted"

Did Boris choose the wrong deal with the E/U ?
Could he have chosen a different deal that would have prevented these shortages?.
