Nostradamus mentioned the fire from the sky coming from the East. End of days? Crazy Frenchman?
I would ban it too. When the power goes down , it goes down.

TTT, does it really need the inordinate use of power for mining, if so why ? ( is it doing/solving useless complex mathematical cryptographic problems OR it really takes that huge energy expenditure to fix the next block chain transactional block, so even an official, legal Central Bank block chain cryptographical currency would need a similar enormous energy requirement ?)
Hopefully it is the beginning of the end for this nonsense.
that guy while back who threw out his pc hardrive with his cryto passwords or whatever it was, still reeling i bet, less he found it in the dump...lol

seveop: 19:18, yes sadly it does basically you have a mathematical calculation to do to find a number that satisfies the criteria. Basically it's all bot adding a new block to the existing blockchain (the blockchain is like a register of all the bit coins) This might help: https://www.bankrate.com/investing/what-is-bitcoin-mining/
