Because worse things happen at sea and it's all just box ticking dressed up as punishment and rehabilitation.
I just dont see the pint of judges awarding if they are slashed like this, it makes a total mockery of the system. It does make one wonder if the sentences are dished out to appease the public at the time of trial with the right-on brigade knowing full well they will be massively reduced in line with their ideology.

Lets hope we hand him to the Spanish, they have a better idea of how to run a jail.
He has already served five prison sentences in Spain, it didn't put him off reoffending.
Which is exactly why he shouldn't be let out Barry. The only time he's not commiting crime and creating misery for other people is when he's in prison.
he's hardly a savage. Fraud takes skill and effort. You can't just lock thieves up for ever, they're not killers.
No jno, but we can send this one to Spain so he can finish the rest of his sentence there.

He can't be that good a conman. He seems to get caught a hell of a lot.
and still people keep throwing their money at him.

The Spanish are welcome to him if they really want him.
