// According to the Gov. (MHRA) 1,500 people have died shortly after an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccine since Nov2020 in this country . // This is at best highly misleading. https://fullfact.org/online/the-light-vaccines/ I didn't make anything up. I won't claim to have performed a fully comprehensive review of all available data regarding...

Atheist, it isn't about "other people". Everyone will do as they think best. And in any case, a vaccine mostly protects you. You are actually more likely to spread it, vaccinated, as you are more likely to have no or few symptoms.

In any case, nailit is perfectly intelligent enough to look up statistics, if he wants. But, nobody can tell him, he will be perfectly safe... unless you are both a GP and a psychic. It has to be his choice.
Nailit; I think that taking away peoples' lives is more important.
Spice; a la niche!
You're willing to risk it to protect yourself, atheist. Why worry about someone else?
//Nailit, your refusal to be vaccinated puts other people at risk.//
Other peoples health is not my concern atheist.

Ive worked/shopped/used public transport for the last 18 months.
(because I've HAD to)
If ive put you at risk by living my life then
sorry but stuff you. Would you like me to drop dead so you wont have to come into contact with me?

Sorry, but YOUR health is NOT my concern.

Back in March, my dying mum was swabbed and diagnosed with Covid (As a prelude to going in Dougie Mac) She tested positive and refused hospice care.
Her 3 main carers were myself, my sister and my niece. Around the same time my sister lost all sense of taste and smell.
All of us had close and intimate contact with my mum during her final days and weeks.
Think its safe to say that we all had the chance to contract covid.
My sister has since had the oppurtunity to do a test and has shown that she has antibodies to covid....hence she has had it in the last 6 months. And chances are that all who come into contact with my mum during her final days have also contracted it.
Albeit with no symptoms.
Its so deadly that you have to have a test to see if you have it.
Ive more than likely gone to work with it....
And yet no one is off sick (and I work with and mix with hundreds of people a week)...not mention that I handle hundreds...if not thousands...of potentioly infected items a week.

Not so much as a sniffle.
But im selfish because I refuse a vaccine with unknown long term effects?
Really?

Nailit, "Sorry, but YOUR health is NOT my concern."
I realise that. That's the whole problem at the moment; there is a minority who feel like you. If we all pulled together instead of protecting our freedom and self-interest, then perhaps we could make life better for all. Sadly, we have Theland concerned only for his welfare in the after-life and the rest of you be damned, and you cocerned only with your welfare in this life and the rest of you be damned.
Once again we see the major downside of social media - the ability for any and every idiot to get their baseless self-aggrandaising nonsense onto a virtual platform where they can influence people who wouldn't know an original thought if it jumped up and bit them.

As soon as the Twitface logo popped up, I suspected I was in for a barrage of pointless nonsense, and I was right.

nailit

Based on that, are you of the opinion that the vaccines are…hokum?
Is that the rally that took place in London today? A friend of mine was planning to go to that.
NAILIT, you stated, "Ill take a chance on covid thanks...its got over a 99% survival rate.
Unlike the poor unfortunates that took the vaccine and became paraylysed or died"

If the survival rate is ninety-nine percent, the fatality rate is one percent.

One percent of the 36,762,646 folk in the UK who have had both jags, is 367,626.

Are you claiming that 367,626 have died or become paralysed after having the jags?
Atheist, you are more of a risk to nailit, than he is to you. Each to their own, but this "protecting others" doesn't seem right.
We all have decisions to make through our lives, none of us ever thought this would be one we'd have to make.

All each of us can do is familiarise ourselves the best we can and decide.
//Based on that, are you of the opinion that the vaccines are…hokum?//

Where have I even suggested that?
Pixie, 19:32. "You're willing to risk it to protect yourself, atheist. Why worry about someone else?"
Hard to believe you could say that, Pixie. Not everyone seeks to protect themself without regard for others. I do worry about the welfare of others, partly out of self-interest and partly out of empathy and identification with other people.
It's a jab For Funks Sake (as the people on here say) In my place of work it was "have all the jabs or you don`t get the job") Hardly a big deal
Pixie, 20:00. I don't understand your point.
I have been double jabbed and I continue to wear a mask and to socially distance. Surely I can't be more of a risk to others than if I had not had the vaccine?
//That's the whole problem at the moment; there is a minority who feel like you//

Dont tell lies Atheist. Its not a minority. Its a majority.
Dont tell me that youve had the jab to protect me!!
Youve had it to protect yourself.
Theres not one person on here who has been vaxxed to protect others.
//You are actually more likely to spread it, vaccinated, as you are more likely to have no or few symptoms.//
So lock up the vaccinnated and let the unvaccinated party safely for a few months????
Simple! Or simplistic?

Have you got the science data for your claim pixie? Have you accounted for the vaccinnated being genrally more responsible caring people whose more likely to take lateral flow test's, socially distance, observe isolation rules, wear masks etc
That isn't what I meant, atheist.
You've been vaccinated, so you are far more likely to pass on covid, without realising, than nailit, say, who is more likely to feel awful, realise and isolate.
My point, or question, was, if you have protected yourself- and are now more of a risk, than being risked.... what does that have to do with nailit, or anyone unvaccinated?

Even if his decision did affect you somehow, surely nobody should be making possibly dangerous medical decisions, based on another person?
I did, actually, nailit. Allergic to the first, and had the second as a risk to myself... due to clients.
But- individual choice.
