It means very little to me , we already have been given freedom of movement ,we can still go to a restaurant and to a pub ( not going to mention the M word, too many posts on that)
I don’t feel we’ve been liberated , I don’t feel anything at all, it’s all been hyped up!

" Freedom day " is the day that the virus gives a big smile, rubs it's little spikes and gets the freedom of the country to multiply, mutate and prepare itself for the impending lockdown in late August.
It has already split itself laughing at all the misinformation tobe Allowed to circulate on AB particularly over the last 48 hours.
That's what has changed.
I think more people can go to a wedding or funeral now !! It's all a big farce as every time I read any news, we are being told there will be another lockdown soon, wonder what on earth that will entail ?? I'm going to the supermarket today, will be interesting to see how many aren't wearing masks (sorry Bobbs, the dreaded 'm' word) !!
Open the Floodgates Day maybe?

It’s possibly because I only go out about twice a week but I can’t feel this hyped up liberation I’m supposed to
That's cos it's not liberation Bobbs, beginning to think it never will be !

Have you read this ?
Good luck to you all. We still have weekend restrictions on opening hours for shops restaurants and bars etc. This is to deter people from Lisbon and Porto coming down for weekends. Beach rules masks whilst walking on the beach but not in the sea. Capacity controlled. Indoor dining requires proof of double vaccine or test at door, bring your own and must be done at the door. Outside dining no issues. Masks indoors, no exemptions. Appointments for all gov. services and doctors except A andE. We are behind with the vaccines but local centre open 8 to 8. Appointment system and drop in available. Non residents without health number can go and will be jabbed but could have long wait. I think being in a tourist destination the gov is being very cautious as we had a surge when on the green list!
Its a step Bobbi, true enough not too much change but hey its in the right direction :-)
YMF......read what?
PS For my fur babies my vet is by appointment or phone consult and medication drop off or home visit if necessary. Same with private human doctor. Also local human lab is doing home visits for blood tests
calmck // Indoor dining requires proof of double vaccine //
How do you show proof?
Been to Asda today. I would say it was 50:50 re. masks, plenty not wearing them and plenty still wearing them, even a lot of the staff weren't wearing them. Same with another shop I went into. Nobody said a word to the non mask wearers and everything seemed to go smoothly.
Morrison’s today 12 noon. 80% wearing masks. Everyone being responsible for themselves. No issues at all.
The local shop is asking customers to continue wearing masks. We’re off to the pub tonight. I’ll find out what they’re doing when I get there.
“ don’t feel we’ve been liberated , I don’t feel anything at all, it’s all been hyped up!”

But enough about Brexit … ;-)
I had to go to the hospital today. Everyone wearing fc
We get vaccine certificate two weeks after 2 jabs
Reporting back. No one in the pub, including staff, wearing masks - and people were for the first time in ages going to the bar for drinks. it was lovely. A welcome touch of normality at last.
