This was an HS2 issue and 18,000 voters didn’t turn out. The Tory candidate was also very woke and green. However, this should be a wake up call for Boris. There is a whole different country outside the Westminster Bubble and it is fed up with being lied to, fobbed off, and locked down. You can’t run a Democratic country by fear.

It is getting better by the day , John Bercow has now fired a Broadside at Boris.
Ohhhh yeah, Bercow the savior of the new new Labour party.
It’s about values, and I believe in Tory values. Look after yourself, small ‘G’ government, low taxation and small regulation - unfortunately, the current Government seem to be enjoying the restriction in freedom they have unnecessarily imposed on us, largely guided by the scientific ‘experts’ who have managed to get everything wrong with their doom-lingering scenarios.

Boris has lost my support, but the party hasn’t .

The trouble is, the politically stupid, like Gulliver, consider the leader of the party AS the party. That being the case, anybody who supported Corbyn must hate Jews. Of course that isn’t the case, but with hard of thinking useful idiots like Gulliver, it’s easy to make the connection.

22.08 Sorry to read that you are no longer a Boris Fan, I always thought you were one of the first on A/B to be radicalised by Boris.
Question Author
Then again Deskdiary I suppose you are stupid enough to be radicalised by Boris. I am glad you have woken up at last, and can see through him. Well done
^^^and unfortunately, that’s the level of debate that it’s possible to get from Gulliver.

It’s pointless even trying to engage.
Which is why, usually, I don't (though occasionally I just can't help myself).
YMB, I don’t feel let down by the current Tory incumbents. I think overall they’ve done a great job in the most difficult of times. Yes, they’ve made mistakes but if you’re looking for perfection you’re not going to find it - anywhere. I wouldn’t have wanted their job over recent years - it’s been a thankless task. I think Boris has genuinely done his best and I doubt anyone would have done better. I wouldn’t hesitate to vote for them, with him at the helm, again.
